There's always time to learn, Mánaskin! Online you can find rulebooks and graphical guidelines as to how to play the games, and with a little bit of research you can find out a lot more. TCGs are great fun to play, maybe you can find someone in your area who has the same interests so you can play against each other!
If you're interested in the LoTR TCG, here's where you can find the rulebooks! :)

And you don't even have to play the game. I don't play very often because I am so short on time. I mostly look at the pictures.

Hi im really into the TCG. I collect the cards and have completed all but one set. I love looking at the images that are posted on Decipher before the set is released. For those that play the game what do you think of the Gollum culture? I think it is great how they set it up, with Gollum/Smeagol both helping and hindering the fellowship and the cards look beatiful. Any one here play it?

I have played many colactable card games and I have to say that LOTR is one of the intrestest. Some people say that the game is too long.. It takes 45 minutes to play but they don't know how much fun you can get for those minutes :)

Have you any idea from what source will Decipher get the pictures of the new sets?
I've read (or heard) that such characters and events (and conditions, of course lol ) will appeare on them too which are not in the films. (e.g. Tom Bombadil)

I copied and pasted this from ToRN
Decipher Card - Denethor!
7/20/03, 6:11 am EST - Demosthenes
First of the RoTK cards for the Decipher TCG, this image of Denethor was released just the other day at Comic Con 2003. If you haven't already seen it floating around, take a look!

Denethor looks really old and haggard in that picture. I wonder what scene it is from?
The Tengwar LoTR cards look awesome - I couldn't resist taking a look at the Boromir one lol
Steve the Great
July 20th,2003, 03:16 PM
Who knows, why? lol
I think it's from the "Denethor's pyre" scene (when he spilt oil on himself)

Decipher will release from August to December a series of Premium cards, and in the end, the colectors may get 4 bonus cards with characters that didn't appear in the movies. I think, the greatest star of these cards will be Tom Bombadil! :)

Ooo magic cards! Hey I think someone made a thread to do with them. Maybe it would be better to discuss them there. I had some at one point, but not very many. I can't remember what happened to them :p

I read a very interesting announcement about releasing Decipher-cards for an 'alternative ME':
Gaze Into the Mirror: The Lord of the Rings TCG Reflections Is Coming
What if Galadriel had accepted the One Ring from Frodo and carried it to Mount Doom? What if Elrond had chosen a fellowship of Gondor Men to carry the burden? Choices like these are about to become part of The Lord of the Rings TCG.
(...)
The 48 brand-new foil cards will include new Rings of Power, new Palantiri, and other powerful artifacts from Middle-earth, and will introduce "alternate Ring-bearers." With this new game-changing mechanic, selected companions from various cultures will possess the ability to be your Ring-bearer from the start of the game, offering exciting new options in deck-building.
In addition to the all-new gameplay foil cards, foil reprints of the four preview "book cards" from the Countdown Collection – Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, Radagast The Brown, and Glorfindel – will be included in the mix.

I have the Tengwar set and the script is beautiful. They just came out with the Two Towers Anthology set in stores/online. It's worth investing in, especially if you're a serious collector. I still have to complete ROTK before starting on Seige of Gondor. I did get the 2 starter decks with Merry & Pippin, there are some really great rares in there.
