The creator of that one says she may try and fix him up a bit, but as you may have noticed, we tend to stay away from the larger smiles as they tend to distract from the topic at hand.

Well folks....

First I'd like to thank Ash for providing the link to the set of LotR smilies, and to Adun and Win for the animated Leggy's. I don't really like the little cartooney ones that are there for the full set, and I may or may not use the animated ones......

Why you ask? Well....I've commissioned our very own YayBoromir! to make us a custon set of the Fellowship similar to the very kewl Boromir that she did.

Please be patient as this may take a wee bit of time, we cannot rush an artist at work ya know! :p

Mirivor mentioned getting a pirate smiley for talking about Pirates of the Caribbean. That, I think, is a cool idea. Especially for us guys in the Talk Like a Pirate Day thread (which has of course turned into a great epic sea battle, pirates against pirates). We really need a smiley of a pirate fighting. Either with a sword or a gun. I know they exist, I've seen them before on other sites.

And while I'm on the subject, have any of you seen a butterfly smiley? Just a thought ;)

wait..it seems like it works fine now... I put several "lol, lol, lol" with a :frodo: and some more smileys and it posted fine... perhaps it was a temporary malfunction or something...but all is good now apparently =)

Nah.....a couple of settings were changed as we prepare for the upgrade to the new version of VB.

It turns out that it was only a test.... had this been a real restriction...you would have been notified proper. :p

I was wondering about the image things next to messages in private messaging. Is it just me, or should the symbols for "read" and "unread" be switched? :huh: It seems like the closed envelope might be better for "unread".... or maybe I just get confused easily lol

Welllllllllllll....

Here's the method to my madness. :p When I was going through and replaced all of the standard VB icons with our custom ones, the 'new pm' was an open envelope, so I just left it that way. lol It sorta made sense to me as it matched up with the way open/closed threads are displayed on the boards with open scrolls for new and closed scrolls for old/read posts.

Lady Arien even called me on it when I was creating them, and maybe I should have listened. ;) lol Ahh well....live and learn eh? I've gone ahead and switched them, and now I hope that the confuzzlement shall be lessened. :p
