Has anyone here tried to write fan mail to someone? I've always thought about doing it, but there are always 2 things that always manage to get in the way:

1.) Not getting anything back (very likely)

2.) Getting something back, but written by people they hire to write back for them. (This is true in some cases)

If you have tried, did you get anything back? And do you think that theres a good chance of others getting one back? I need some thoughts and advice on this because I've never done it before, so dont know much about it, and am thinking of giving it a try.

I've never tried, I've never really concidered it.

I think getting something back really depends on if who you send your letter to.........the more famous the less likely really. Elijah Wood or Ian McKellen probably get bags, and I for one don't blame them for not going through and answering them all. As for people working for them, I really don't know. Give it a shot if you want to, just don't get your hopes up, dear.:)

Ditto Nessa. I've heard that writers answer a lot of their fan-mail, SOME music stars get people to answer for them and the big actors generally don't answer.
I guess it really depends on who you're planning to write to. If you can tell us, we might be able to help more?

Hahaha who do you think? :loveyou: I never tried it because i thought there was no point, but one of my "friends" (not good ones) tried it, sent in a pic of them and asked it to be signed and it came back signed in the next week, with a little reply, but not very long. So now I'm confused. When I was younger I tried sending this one band about 10 times, once every month - notta one back lol
