All the LOTR actresses are there (I assume the actors are too). It seems that the Orlando Bloom obsession has hit another site.

I got my mom to read The Lord of the Rings. She just started it a few days ago and can't put it down. lol She actually said to me last night. "If we go do our errands really quick, we should be home in time to watch the Extended Fellowship of the Ring! :hyper: " But we ended up going to see The Two Towers again instead! lol And she's seen it nearly as many times as I! (And if i didn't already mention it, her favorite character is Aragorn :aragorn: She's always telling me  but it's nice to have my family become LotR freaks too :) ...now my brother is starting to get into it... )

Same here for you ImDaMom, except that I really doubt my mom would understand this whole internet chat thingy...;) Oh well, I haven't really succeeded in involving my whole family in my obsession, let's see...my mom loves aragorn (who doesn't?? :loveyou: :aragorn: ) and I guess she thinks that movies are cool, but she really isn't that into them. My dad on the other hand has expressed to me (upon watching the entire extended DVD, along with the extra features, with me telling him to shut up everytime he laughed at Lego's hair...I mean, I don't even really love the guy that much and I think his hair is not something to be laughed at!), well anyways, he said that the movie had nothing going for it except special effects...He actually said that there was NO PLOT!!!! HOw can you say that!!! It's a book for god's sake!!! Do you think people would read it if it had no plot!!!!????!!!! verymad ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!! Oh, well, just needed to get that out of my system...wheww....breath, breath...lol
Yeah, I really like the aragorn smilie too, it's awesome! :aragorn:

StriderFan....give ol dad a break. It's not always easy to like things your kids like. At least your mom has :aragorn: to latch onto. (wish I could REALLY latch onto him lol ) On my part, I can't get my kids to read the books, although they love the movies. (and teens can't always get into things their parents like, either- they're 19 and 21, so they pretty much are set in their ways.)

Yeah, I love my dad, I really do...anyways, it's fun to have him point out silly things in the movie and make fun of sam and frodo's boat/drowning scene in Fotr...even I have to crack up when he starts pretend-blubbering and "Oh SAM!"–ing dramatically ever time we play the scene... roflmao

I watched FotR with my brother and his girlfriend, and after that they said that they'll not watch TTT without me or my dad, hehe, so we can explain what's happening! lol

HobbitFriend
June 25th,2003, 02:08 AM
well my dad had actually seen the first one, and when he went to see TTT he was wondering why Merry and Pippin or in his words "those guys" were "riding" the orcs.... but he respects my 'obsession.' ;) so it's all good lol
