Mark forum read

umm question....I never quite figured this out.:blush: What does the Mark this Forum Read link really do?

It set's the "unread thread" indicators to off. The entire board uses cookies to manage logon/logoff and new posts indicators.

From the main page you can mark ALL forums read as well, then in all posts in every forum will be marked as "read" and will display the closed scroll image as an indicator. Unread threads are marked with an open scroll. You can selectivly mark individual forums as read with the "Mark this Forum Read" link.

I always use the Mark all Forums Read link, when I'm done here for the day...;)

doesn't it do it automatically when you lave anyway? it does to me....

Yes BG, it will, but ONLY if you log out......

Most folks just close their browser, but some do in fact log all the way out. When you log out all cookies are automatically reset.

hmm...well.....instead of logging out...does logging off the web session make that happen as well?

You know BG if your on Dial up (which I am) it probably does do it for you.. But it's a habbit for me now, so I just do it anyways...;)
