I was watching tv late the other night and I saw Sean Bean in a Lady Chatterley episode. He looked about 25-30 and was the groundskeeper/forester of some snooty parapalegic. He was the object of the ellicit affections of the lady of the house. The show ended before they got busy.

Durn. Too bad I missed it.
I still have to rent that precursor to the Matrix called "Eqilibrium" which also has Sean Bean in it. Made about 10 years ago.

Oh, I did rent recently, Mel Gibson's version of Hamlet, in preparation for our Shakespeare in the Park this summer, and was pleasantly surprised to find Ian Holm in it as Polonius. Such a wonderful actor. I love him in everything I see him in now.

I've seen him in that. He's unbelievably sexy.

Ereinion- most of the time, he didn't have anything on ;) (j/k, sorta). A bunch of pictues of him in that can be found here (http://www.full-of-beans.net/lady-chatterley/page2.html). Is he not extremely fine? mmmm

I haven't seen Equililbrium. Not one of his movies I'm too interested in.

Mir, if you liked Ian as Polonius, you have to see him in Henry V, directed by Kenneth Branagh. He plays Fluellen and he does an amazing job as that. I love the character, and he reminds you so much of Bilbo you can't help but smile every time he comes on lol Here (http://www.ifb.com.pl/yennefer/ken/045.jpg) is a picture of him and Henry, although it's not one of his best...

Sean is Lovely in those pics. I like that haircut on him best so far.
I've seen him more naked than that in some Persian Gulf war movie. Unfortunately, he let his British accent stand so heavy, I could hardly understand a word he said. Shows how much he was really acting in LOTR to forgo such a heavy accent.

Thanks for the pic of Ian Holm, too.

I just remembered a nice Sean Bean movie. It's called "Ronin",and I really don't remember the plot, but from what I do remember, his character there reminded me a little of Boromir - the handsome-tormented-insecured-underappritiated type...It's goin to be on TV next week and I'm really looking forward it! :hyper:

Absolute favorite Sean Bean sighting has to be on the British sitcom "The Vicar of Dibley". The actress in it, who plays the vicar, is hilarious and, well...very rotund. She's a huge Sean Bean fan, too. About to marry someone for all the wrong reasons, she has a dream of the ceremony. When the part about "if there's anyone who objects..." comes, Sean bursts into the church to stop her lol lol

Yeah ! ! ! ! I saw 'Equilibrium' on Pay-per-view. I'ts available now, so I rented it. It was so great! Sean Bean was only in it for the first 20 minutes - but it was a significant part (he looked great in that all-black coat, too). And the story was - I thought - just as good as the Matrix. Christian Bale plays the lead in a comparable part to Keanu Reeves and dresses the same and does the same special effects style of fighting. PLUS the movie has a really good message about humanity and 'feelings'. Well worth watching. Sort of has some similarities to 1984 and Gattaca in style, also.

I agree she's very funny and her name is Dawn French.
It was she and Jennifer Saunders who did the fotr spoof which Ian McKellen wants included in one of the extended editions.

Thanks, Lessa, that's a good tidbit. I never could get that to play on my Macintosh :(
I couldn't think of Dawn French's name ... she's a wonderful comic talent. Did you see that episode? I was really knocked off my seat when Sean Bean burst into the church lol

I vaguely remember it but it was on a while ago here. *note to self check out the repeats* I do remember that every episode I saw I was in hysterics. Glad you like it.

Did anybody see Sean Bean in the british periodic drama Henry VIII? I thought he was brilliant, it was just like Boromir again with kinda similar clothes to Fotr, but he came to a similar gross end. :(
