OK guys...just a few guidelines to make this forum run smoothly...not many...HONEST!!!!
Firstly and most importantly....if you post in the Games Forum, please check the threads regularly, so that you can check the responses or see if its your turn....this will stop the problem of threads stalling when folks disappear and saves me having to send out the dragons after you.... ;) :dragon:
If we are waiting on a response i will PM you....if we get no response then, either Lady Arien or I will step in to keep the thread flowing
if you know youve got questions or responses on one of the threads and you know youre going to be away for a bit, just let us know.
On question and answer threads, please, no comments unless you are replying as well ok? the problem is that extraneous comments make it hard for anyone coming in later to follow the thread, and for people to be clear on whose turn it is and so on
please, before starting a new thread, check to see if there is already one on the same subject or game. Saves us having to merge threads, and all the confusion that can cause.
Finally.....please watch your language...this is a PG site and we have many young members....profanity will not be tolerated in this forum or any other on this site.....
a good rule of thumb is: If in doubt, leave it OUT
Any questions...just ask....;)

See?...that didnt hurt, did it? :naughty: lol roflmao
:catz:

Edit:
The rules/guiidelines for the Games forum have been updated please read the updates on page two of this thread: here (http://www.warofthering.net/forums/vbulletin225/upload/showpost.php?p=588413&postcount=32)

What would define profanity as?

Lady Arien

If you wouldn't say it in front of your mother, don't write it down here. If you need further definition, find a dictionary.

I would say **** (the c-word) in front of my mom, but not damn. Shouldn't the censor be switched?

Catz
December 3rd,2002, 05:00 AM
no....you should simply not use that term either........this is pretty common sense people.......the simplest thing to do is NOT SWEAR............those who continue to do so will be given a warning............if that is not heeded then removal from the forum is a possibility.............pretty foolish for the sake of just thinking a little when posting and using one of the thousands ot words in the English language that are not considered swearing instead of a cuss word
Thank you

well Mormegil......since you appear to be the only person who has trouble with this concept, any further queries on this policy should be directed to me via PM rather than cluttering up this thread
thank you

Okay guys, as the Moderation of Games has kinda changed hands over recent months, and indeed changed completely, I feel it is about time to update the rules for this Forum.
Most will stay the same but there are some changes to note.

*Firstly and most importantly....if you post in the Games Forum, please check the threads regularly, so that you can check the responses or see if its your turn....this will stop the problem of threads stalling when folks disappear and saves me having to send out the dragons after you....
If we are waiting on a response either I or Amithrellas will PM you....if we get no response then, we will step in to keep the thread flowing
If you know youve got questions or responses on one of the threads and you know youre going to be away for a bit, just let us know.
We will always be willing to step in on your behalf - just pm either of us with the correct answer or asking us to take your question and we will be happy to stand in for you.

*On question and answer threads, please, no comments unless you are replying as well ok? the problem is that extraneous comments make it hard for anyone coming in later to follow the thread, and for people to be clear on whose turn it is and so on.

***Folks will be given three days to either verify answers to threads or take their turn, only after that time will reminder pms be sent out, folks will then be given up to three days to respond to the thread (that's 6 days) - we of course would like you to respond to threads before that time if posible.
Any "Where are you/they comments on the thread , will be Deleted *** Unless it has been eight days and nothing has physically happened on the thread, and you think I could do with a good prod to wake me up lol Even then I would rather the extra vigilant person PM me (http://www.warofthering.net/forums/vbulletin225/upload/private.php?s=&action=newmessage&userid=86) rather than post on the thread. What can I say, I like tidiness hehe

*Please, before starting a new thread, check to see if there is already one on the same subject or game. Saves us having to merge/close threads, and all the confusion that can cause.

*Finally.....please watch your language...this is a PG site and we have many young members....profanity will not be tolerated in this forum or any other on this site.....
a good rule of thumb is: If in doubt, leave it OUT

Okay that's not much new,but just some updates to bear in mind.

If you have any comments or questions or there's anything you not understand then please feel free to post them in this thread or alternativly pm either Myself (http://www.warofthering.net/forums/vbulletin225/upload/private.php?s=&action=newmessage&userid=86) or Amithrellas (http://www.warofthering.net/forums/vbulletin225/upload/private.php?do=newpm&u=1525) and we will be happy to help.

Have fun!

Thanks guys

Good on ya, Mellow! Too many sites DON'T have the rules, or the censor, and there's too much swearing. It's good to keep friendly sites like ours clear and clean.

Please guys read/re-check the Games Guidlines listed above in the post headed "Update" Following these guidlines will lead to the Games running smoothly and a better experiece for all. (will also prevent me from having to get tough - I don't like getting tough ;) no really.....lol)

Just to bring to your attention - as if you hadn't noticed already hehe Ami has joined the Staff team to beccome the new co-mod in here. As such I have altered some of information in the Games Guidlines post (above) I also thought I would bring some attention to it for the newer members amongst us.
