View Full Version : Smeagol Impression

I just got back from church camp, and there was this one councelor who did an impression of Gollum. When I heard about it I was like "Dude! I have to hear that!" and that night just before bed everyone was outside, and (thankfully) I was sitting near him when he decided to do it. I started shriking (sp?) with laughter. I was so excited, it was perfect! It was Gollum's voice, perfectly! So, I started saying "Go away and never come back!" "What did you say?" "Go away and never come back" "No!" etc. with all the right emotion, and he repeated it after me, perfectly!! It was wonderful! So, today, when I gave him a hug goodbye I told him to do "the voice" again and he was like "We wants it to leave!" I was like "That's not very nice, but that's okay, Gollum's not very nice." I was so sad to leave, I was crying. I have a friend I thought could do a good Smeagol impression, but that was nothing compared to this, it was one of the best impressions I've ever heard for anything. Anyway, just thougth I'd share that with y'all.

Thanks ever so much for sharing that!
We use lines like "Not listening!" all the time around the house, but to be able to do the impression would be just tooooo kewl! lol

LOL My neice loves to do Gollum's voice. In fact, she'll even do the funny dance he does at the end of the Great Debate! (I might even recruite her for my ROTK trailer I hope to do this summer...)

Haha, that's really funny! roflmao
At school we sometimes copy the "Go away and NEVER COME BACK!" part over and over again! lol
Gollum's voice is very well done.

i too use many lines from gollum, mostly "nobody likes you" "not listening not listeing" "leave now and never come back" and my last gf, our 1st "date" happened to be to a midnight preview for TTT and i would always call her "my precious" until io started to hate her, then i stopped, b ut i still call stuff i like "my precious". and when im telling someone that i want something i use "we wants it, we must have it" and ive also started speaking in the 3rd person at times. im scared

I always do the "go away and never come back" thing to my brothers when they're being stupid, and they just give me this really really weird look.

I'm not surprised. Whenever I say anything remotely like lotr I get weird looks from my daughters. You all know the look the really ''god you not all there'' look and they have such pity in their eyes. I just tend to ignore it.

Yeah, I know that look, and there's the "sudden outburst" of "God help her!" lol When I say/see/do something and connect it with LOTR. Or, now that "God help her" has died, "Shut UP!" is all I hear. lol Or, "It's about Lord of the Rings, I don't want to hear it!" My best friend (who is a LOTR fan!) said that to me! I was upset. Then, on the last day of school when I said I couldn't go a day without talking about LOTR she said "Fine, then just don't talk to us at all!" And I think she got mad because I stopped talking to her (but that afternoon she had forgiven me) :)
I, too, tend to ignore it, and go on with whatever I was saying.

A boy in my class does an incredibly eerie Gollum, I often beg him to do it. Actually, he gets a lot of requests. I love those little signs of how popular LOTR has become.....
My brother often follows me around hissing in an attempted Gollum voice, just because it bothers me, of course. lol

Brothers are of little use other than to bother you of course ;D especially if the are younger.

I do the same - people get so fed up with me saying anything LOTR. Now they've finally realised that it isn't the only thing I quote from (quoted Harry Potter today when we were going on a school trip - 'there will be no foolish wand waving on this coach')

Today? You're still in school? We got out on the last Friday of June. :) I didn't know anyone was still in school.

Most UK schools finish sometime towards the middle, or even a little later, of July for 6 weeks. They go back around the 5th September.

Dang! Most of the schools around here let out sometime right at the end of May or the beginning (to middle) of June. Then, we go back at the end of August/very beginning of September, 3 months. I don't know what I would do if I only had a 6 week summer vacation! I mean, summer is kind of boring, but it's a million times better than sitting in class all day.

True.
Your 3month :o summer break would take up almost all the 13 weeks holidays our schools get. How many weeks do you get for the whole year then?

13 weeks for holidays!? This past year we got 3 days at Easter, about a week at Christmas/New Year, a day for Memorial Day, Labor Day, probably 3 or 4 days for Thanksgiving, a day for Presidents' Day, Martin Luther King Day, and a few others here and there. It would in no way total 13 weeks, that's for sure!

Well that's at least 18 days on top of your 3 months so I make that more than 13 weeks.
