The "Who's Greatest" thread gave me an idea for a slightly different question...

If you were an Elf Lord such as Finrod who no one, even the Feanorians, had a beef with, who would you want to forge your personal weaponry?

Armour: Telchar or whatever dwarf was REALLY good at it
Sword: a little tougher...
- the guy(s) who made Dramborleg, Glamdring, and Sting?
- Eol (but he's used up the metal that he made Anglachel from)?
- Telchar?
I think the Gondolin smiths get my vote

I would like my armour be made from Mithril (don't know who makes those)....
My sword...well,I think Eol gets my vote,he did learn his art from Aule,didn't he?

nope, he was self taught and also learned from the Dwarves of Nogrod and Belegost

:blush: Note to myself: re-re-read the Sil. Anyway,I hope his weapons don't shine when there are orcs near by.....Do they????lol

Not to my knowledge!!!!

No duh I am Feanor all the way lol!!!!!!!

Maglor showed me the first sword his father ever gave him, not only is it effective, but it is covered with elven gem flames. Eol pales considerable before my idol!!!!

Allrighty then....A Mithril armour and a sword by Eol...
I would have chosen Gondolin smiths,but their swords shine when orcs are near,something I dislike...

I dislike it too, dead giveway and not allowing for the sharpening of the senses. (Maglor said that not me)

If I could get a weapon made by Mahtan, that would be cool. But I live in ME and he lives in Valinor so I don't see much chance of that happening.
