What is your opinion of movie tie-in games? My experience has been a mixed bag:
LoTR: TTT was a good game, if a bit linear, but still captured the essence of the films.
Indiana Jones games on the Amiga were awesome; the same great sense of humour and suspense were present throughout.
The Simpsons: Road Rage was a bit weak, it was too repetitive and with a limited number of tracks and character voices, it got old fast.
The old Disney PC games were better than the new ones; Hercules in particular caught my eye, thanks to the awesome Cyclops level. I also enjoyed the Lion King (beating Scar was the BEST! OK, so I was little lol)

What is your opinion?

Some movie tie-ins are okay. Indiana Jones, TTT, and Goldeneye to name a few. Although Simpsons Road Rage and Simpsons Skateboarding was terrible.

Hercules was okay. It was very jazzy and fast moving, just like the movie. I've got loads of Loony Tunes games (I admit it; I'm a fan), and those all have great graphics and are really fun to play. Simpsons Wrestling's graphics were bad, but it was just so enjoyable that it didn't make much difference! TTT had excellent graphics, but I would have preferred a genre more suited to Middle Earth.

I haven't got Goldeneye, but my friends and I once met to play it at one of their houses. There was one point when I dropped my gun, heard something behind me and, turning around and seeing someone holding a gun, managed to kill them by just slapping them! lol

Slappers Only and Throwing Knives are my favourite modes on Goldeneye, especially on License to Kill. It is so funny, because one slap kills the opponent roflmao Even funnier is when you are not playing on License to Kill, and the opponent has a huge weapon like a Rocket Launcher, and you still manage to beat them by slapping lol
My other fave settings are Rocket and Grenade Launchers. I don't like mines very much because they make me jump lol

Oooo Goldeneye was good, but have you seen the Disney Skating game yet? roflmao ! Anyways there are vice versa too aren't there, like films made from games, like Resi ..ugh bad film :p , but I have to say the best in that game to film is Pokemon in my opinion, but the TV series aids it alot. A decent Film to game is The Thing, one of the few films made better as game, but the massive time difference makes it unfair....doesn't it?

Some try to rush the release date to correspond with the film/tv release and they end up crappy. Others mesh the story in so well that it makes both the game and the movie more exciting. Just depends.
