Gorsh I hope this is in the right place :)
I bought the hardbound Annotated Hobbit last week in a bookshop for about $40 (US) and though I'm just beginning to re-read the story, I've already enjoyed it immensely as a referrence source.
Of course, the larger text is the old familiar version of The Hobbit, yet in the page margins you get all the original texts which were modified from the earlier publications, as well as bits of Tolkien's notes, illustrations from various Hobbit publications from around the world, and such.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves The Hobbit, and am now looking to buy LoTR hardbound too. (My old paperbacks are falling to bits), and I hope to find them in annotated form as well.
