Extra Footage

Its been anounced at another site that a preview of the extra Fotr footage has been released on the internet....

I went to a few of the mentioned sites and couldn't find it anywhere! Has anyone seen this or even heard about it? Perhaps I'm being thick again..... :rolleyes:

There's been discussion about a scene where Frodo and Sam are watching elves go by in the woods, and Sam comments about them leaving for the Grey Havens.... sounds wonderful, doesn't it?

Anyway.. this extra footage will only be on the November copy of the DVD, right!? Not the August one?

I've seen the pictures of that scene Nessa! Unfortunately there are only 2 pics of it, but i think the picture on frodoandsam.net is part of it too.

Does this mean that the dvd coming out on the 6th wont have anything special? No deleted scenes, no behind the scenes.... no interviews!?!?! nothing but movie, previews and game news!? Oh god dont let it be true!

A! Elbereth. I expected Aug 6th to bring only the original movie. I may be wrong, but that is why I am saving my purchase until November. But that doesn't mean it won't be great to have it available for rent at the video store for home watching until then.
I bet it may have a few little tidbits, plus the TTT preview.

I watched the clips - it's wonderful. Why in the world couldn't they just have included this stuff in the original movie ? ? ? ! ! !
Oh, I'm so happy, they showed Gollum floating on the log! That was one I didn't expect.

Well we will have the new TTT trailer today, but we are a bit wary of posting it. We will see, it could get us in bother and even if it did not the number of people trying to get it might eat our bandwidth for the month, even though we have 400gb. We will see, glad you liked the Extended DVD trailer though.

Gosh darn!!! I can't find it!!! I'm sooooo mad!!! I forgot what all of the scenes were but I can tell you a few. One is a different entrance to the Shire (of Bilbo writing in his Book), and Aragorn sings a song to Arwen (i think), and a lot of extra stuff in Rivendell, and the gift-giving scene in LothLorien, extra scenes in the mines of Moria, and more... I don't remember the rest, but oh well's. We'll all find out sooner or later.

I think you have covered most of them. There is Bilbo writing Concerning Hobbits, a scene in the Green Dragon with the Hobbits dancing etc, Aragorn watches over the Hobbits and tells the Tale of Beren and Luthien, the elves in the woods of The Shire, more Rivendell (Aragorn and Boromir, Aragorn and his mothers grave), post Moria Orcs pursue them - elves kill orcs, gift giving, Galadriel/Gimli thing, little bit more Amon Hen (Lurtz licks knife etc)....other stuff too. Should be good.

Bear in mind if you buy only the Novemeber release, it does not have the original theatrical release on it. Only the extended version. The one I would get too if I was only buying one. But good to be aware it does not have both on it.

Your welcome. But there were different pictures I think. There was a picture of Arwen with some other elves behind her and next to her and stuff. It's a cool picture. I think I printed them out... somewhere. I can't find them. oh well.

Oh my gosh - If you have not purchased your DVD, - run don't to the nearest store to get yours! It is a TWO disc package and the first disc is the entire movie, but the second disc contains lots of goodies for the obssessed fan. Take it from me, I should know!
Check this out: It contains two behind the scenes shows that aired on cable, the Enya video, TT preview, DVD extended footage preview, a preview of the video game. What can I say? I was practically delierious with joy when I viewed it.

I know I've been watching it over and over again since August 6th. I'm over-joyed, too. They actually let Billy Boyd have a few says in it. He's so cute when he talks about going to the gym for about 6 weeks getting that "Hobbit Phiseque." lol I love him and his laughs!!! I sure and a proud member of the Pervy Hobbit Fancier Club!!!lol

I am waiting to buy the Gift set in November. I thought I'd I just RENT the DVD before then, but if I do, will I get to see that second CD also? Your making me nervous that renting it just won't be good enough. Has anyone here rented the DVD from the video store?

I paused that and had a REALLY good look...gollum's so sweet!
