Wait to buy the Extended Version. But if you can rent it, it has the trailer for RotK, "making of" Long & Short of It - wonderful!, all the production videos off the officials sight. And great cast notes about the making of the trilogy. Sean Astin is even more adorable now that his dropped tons of weight and he makes a very touching and eloquent speech about the ending of the story and what it meant to each character and castmember. Orli talks a LOT in his section about the preparation for the part and there are TV interviews of him on there as well. Plus, there is that absolutely gorgeous shot of Lij/Frodo from RotK where his hair is wild and he's looking up to the right and has cuts on his face - to die for!
I'd advise not to buy it and wait for the EE but definitely try to rent it or view a friend's for the special features!

I love the previews of the Extended Version of TTT and ROTK :whoohoo: they added a lot of commentary to the ROTK preview and hearing Elijah actually say "complete deterioration of Frodo to the point where Frodo ceases to be Frodo" made me so sad mecry :(
but i still rewatched the ROTK preview for maybe 5-6 times ;)
i love all the extras... haven't gotten to Sean Astin's mini-production yet though...
and am going to finish watching TTT tonight .... :whoohoo:

I watched everything on the double disc 5 times... and i got it saturday...

The part were Elijah says complete deterioration of Frodo to the point where Frodo ceases to be Frodo.. that maid me sad as well...

but after that comes the scene were Gandalf rides up the stairs and you see the Pelennor fields..... WOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!

I love the seen where Boromir is in Osgiliath and he says " this city has been reclaimed by Gondor." Or when merry says " your taller", Ive always been taller then you" "you did something." and them pippin smiles. haha. And in the rotk preview the Ride of the Rohirrum looks so powerful and amazing.

It was worth it just to hear Richard Taylor go 'hoo hoo!' lol, but the part which I enjoyed the most was the preview of the Extended Version, with the Huorns and the Entdraught. I must say, from the ROTK preview, that the interior sets for Minas Tirith look magnificent!

I love the line in the rotk preview by gandalf. "you must understand that things are set in motion now that cant be undone, if the ring is destroyed Sauron will fall, but if he reclaims the ring his victory will be so complete that none can forsee the end while this world still lasts". wow so that must mean that if sauron got the ring that he could create like a million orcs overnight. lol that would be cool to see.

I can't wait much longer. That Sam quote! I never even thought of it that way. As for the Academy, Radagast...I think we're gonna have to accept they're very stubborn & while Oscars are possible....they're just as unlikely.
