I don't know what to vote for... i like all of them
Moria battle was great with the cave troll.. and everybody in the Fellowship did some fighting...
the Amon Hen battle showcased the skills of Aragorn, Boromir, Gimli and Legolas...
the Warg attack was cool even though it was a deviation from the book and had Aragorn "fake die"...

thinking about it..i really liked the Amon Hen one... so i'm voting for that one... i liked all of Legolas' cool moves :)

It's definitly the Riders of Rohan for me  They were so great, with the horses and arrows and stuff! :battle:

I think that the best battle so far has been Helms Deep. I mean 10 000 orcs against a couple hundered men and elves. Im sure that the P Fields will be the best one though!

I'm hesitating between the raid of rohirrim leaded by Eomer (I like cavalry charges soo much lol) and the attack of gondorian rangers. (It was quite one-sided, poor haradrim haven't got any chance, even though they outnumbered the gondorians and have múmakils...)

From FotR it was Moria. Especially in the extended edition it was breathtaking.
From the small TTT battles I like the ambush from the Gondorian rangers the best. A great piece of leadership and tactics. The poor haradrim stood no chance and never saw it coming. Also the fact that it are just normal men slaying other men with a different look on life is sad. It's shows what a ruthless and sad thing, war is. I felt sorry for the haradrim...

In the battle of the pelennor fields how many Haradrim and easterlings do you think there will be like around 10,000. I wouldnt want there to be over 10k cause then it would just seem wrong if there were more evil men then good.

I voted on Mines of Moria. It shows great moves of Legolas with his daggers and also with his bow and arrow :Orc: :archer:

Besides it´s got a great battle with a cave troll and i like dark and mysterious places they´re sort of very good environments for great battles. The next part with the balrog :flamer: is breathtaking but that´s another story ;)

Mines of Moria. The tomb of Balin scene with the cave troll is brilliant, and the orcs smashing down the door is one of the most memorable scenes in the movies.

I voted Eomer's company vs. the uruks cause it's all done at night {which looks totally mysterious in the blue lighting}, and {for some reason} I really like when one of the Rohirrim turns around on the horse and shoots w/a long bow {i dunno it just looks eerie and chilling in the moonlight}. ;)

It has to be the Mines for me. First the tension, then the frenzy of the battle by Balin's tomb, pressurized by the cramped space...really brilliant. And I think I will always catch my breath when Frodo finds himself face to face with the cave troll.:elfeek:

I had to choose the mines. Amon Hen was a close 2nd. I think the desperation of escape is what really put the mines over Amon. Also, the look on the trolls face when Legolas put the last arrow in his throat was priceless!

All battles have their unique thing that makes them great but to me Amon Hen stands out. Undescribable, and the saddest outcome ever.

I liked the Gondorian Archers vs Haradrim and Rohirrim's were 2nd because i like every kind of archers and javelineers and there were many of them.

Of those named in the poll, I have to say Amon Hen. But I thought the Orc d-day of Osgoliath was pretty good.

I voted for Moria because one; the closed off space made things difficult and more interesting, and two; because of what Borimir said when he saw the cave troll.

Quote: They have a cave troll.
Honestly, that line sounded kinda sarcastic in the movie and gave a little humor and considering the situation, the humor was needed. Go Sean Bean.

Definitely the Mines of Moria! Amon Hen was also an amazing scene! But Moria was a fantastic little battle!

The Mines of Moria will always hold a special place in my heart because I have such a strong mental image of what that entire battle looked like, especially the scene at the Bridge of Khazad-dum.
