Don't you mean together (must say with appropriate hand motions- as Billy did). The whole 'together' thing had me laughing so much.... my mom thought it was incredibly corny and stupid, but it was so cute!

I loved Billy and Dom before, but the TTT extras made me fall even more deeply in love.... *sigh* I'll probably watch those extras again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day.....

Plus Billy's accent- gotta love Scottish accents. ;)

Someone has a dirty mind! :cough: Caligula :cough: I meant that they make cute hobbits when they are working together.
Billys accent is really cute!

I didn't mean it that way- seriously I didn't. Billy just said the word 'together' in a way that made me laugh. Just as Billy said, 'Dom and I are together, but not that way.' Not a dirty mind in any way..... a simple misunderstanding.

I let my friend borrow the TTT DVD over the weekend, and I'm going insane not being able to watch the parts with Dom and Billy- they're just so cute and hilarious!

Ok so my username would appear to indicate differently but I really think that they are totally awesome! Teehee and I love that part with the tape "He didn't ask if he could rip it off, he just ripped it off..." roflmao

I watched it over and over on the DVD. I agree that they would be really fun to hang out with, it always seems like they're having a good time!

Ohhh, who saw the part when they're both sitting side by side in their costumes and Billy's talking about how they go from the Shire to the 'bosom' of nature? That part was funny as well.

Okay, all this stuff you guys are talking about was just killing me...I've been waiting as patiently as possible (read: very little fingernails left) for the EE DVD, but I can't take it anymore! I went out and rented TTT, and I'm off to watch it. I'll be back in a few hours to discuss our boys.

*Happy sigh * Okay, I've seen it now...and yes, those two are wonderful together (but not that way, of course) ;). They remind me so much of a couple of my friends, that in a really weird way (perhaps it's also due to seeing so much footage of them goofing around together) I feel like I kind of know them. Ok, not really, but maybe that if given the chance to, say, hit the pool-hall one night, we could really have a bit of a lark.

Okay, not making sense anymore. lol

Was anyone else a little disappointed with what PJ did with Merry & Pippin in TTT? Pippin was finally given a bit of a chance to show his strengths while being kidnapped by the Uruk-Hai, but not nearly enough--and what was with that whole "The world needs everyone to co-operate, gosh-darn it!" Sesame Street speech Merry gave to Treebeard? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the movie, I just thought things got a little too sidetracked in TTT--I hope ROTK follows the general gist a little better. And I can't wait to see the character developments for Merry & Pippin, as well!

Still counting down the hours until TTT EDVD just so I can see more behind-the-scenes footage of our two lovable jokers and hear the cast commentary,

Mmmmm...Bosom. Did I say bosom? Yeaahh...roflmao that was such a good part. You do sorta feel like you 'know' them a bit eh? I think it's because we get to see them goofing around and it makes us (well at least me) feel like they're actually human instead of these big actor people who always look perfect, etc. You can sorta relate I guess.

I do hope they make Merry and Pip more evolved in Rotk though, so ditto to what Pippin said. But from what I've seen it should be better then TTT. Except the scouring of the shire! :( Not fair!

I liked that part of the DVD as well. They remind me of my group of friends. I mean they seriously do stuff like put duct tape on their chest and rip it off. I was there. lol

Mmmmm...Bosom. Did I say bosom? Yeaahh... that was such a good part.

That made me laugh so hard. lol

I actually have a friend named Dom who has a tape obsession.

I think they're great, though I'm more of a Billy fan than I am an Dom one-besides, by best friend is the Dom fan and if said I liked him like she does, I could find myself in trouble!

Does anyone else seem to have a Merry-Pippin connection with their best friend here, or is that just me? See, its weird because I like Billy-and Pippin-and the things I do are what my friend calls "Pippin-isums". Its the same for her but with "Merry-isums"! I just wondered if we were the only ones to experiance this weird little fiasco. . . .

But I've read on the net about people who've seen ROTK and they say that Pippin and Merry really manage to show their true strenghts in the third installment. So don't worry, you'll be pleased with how they come across-as there is much more footage of them in the third film.

Has anyone else noticed how happy Billy and Dom seem when they in pictures together? I know they're the same when they're with Elijah and Sean, but when its just them, its different, they just seem so happy to see each other and their pictures are always nice ones. . . . they're always laughing and messing around or just being relaxed in each others company.

Hello
I stop in every now and then, and this time I had to visit and chat.
I love Merry and Pippin. Especially that Pippin, it seems that
the real guy, Billy, is a down to earth kind of person and very funny.
Those behind the scenes footages says it all.lol
I love to watch those extra features of Billy, Dom, and Elijah
shooting pool, and on the set when they all crack up on each other and just being silly.
You can tell there's real friendship there.
Awesome.

I love Dom and Billy so much. They are really funny, and so adorable. Not only on the DVD, but like in interviews and such. I remember when they were making fun of Orlando (seems to be thier favorite subject, btw, but it never gets old lol lol) and saying how they would throw parties and make Orlando dress up in an apron and clean everything..lol they are SO funny!

Yes, Dom and Billy rock!! And if you watch the cast commentary on the TTT Extended Edition, they say "I love you" to each other in the most adorable way. *sighs* It's around the part where Sam is just finishing up his speech at Osgiliath and Faramir is about to let him and Frodo go. It's so intensely cute. My favorite Hobbit is Frodo, but Merry and Pippin are definitely a force to be reckoned with- especially in Return of the King!

I agree that Billy and Dom are hilarious. In fact, my sister and I believe Dom should be the next James Bond!

Over the course of several weeks, it has come to our attention that it is many people’s desire that Orlando Bloom* should become the next 007, James Bond. With no ill-respect towards Mr. Bloom and his myriad of fans, my sister and I believe another member of the Lord of the Rings cast should portray Bond. Our choice for the suave, if not chauvinistic, intelligent, if not idiosyncratic, James Bond is Dominic Monaghan. No, Mr. Monaghan does not have the classic good looks of Mr. Bloom, nor the rabid following of girls of various forms and ages; but he embodies so many of the characteristics of Agent 007 that it would be a degradation if he was not even considered for the role. So before you place your vote for Orlando for Bond, kindly regard another gentleman.

*The author would like to apologise in advance for any unintentional Bloom-bashing that might occur while writing this article.

Why Dom?

1. Dominic Monaghan has a dry sense of humour and a sharp mind that greatly resembles James Bond’s. He could very easily get into the role of the secret agent.
2. None of the actors who have portrayed Bond (with the possible exception of Pierce Brosnan) are drop-dead gorgeous. Orlando has become famous—or infamous—with the fangirls for his beautiful face. Dominic is better suited for James Bond for his rugged look and interesting features.
3. Bond is not the sort of character Orlando could play successfully. He is known for his mild-mannered, supporting roles. Could he lead a movie playing a far different character he is accustomed to? While some may argue Mr. Bloom could do anything, why take that risk? Mr. Monaghan has shown in various interviews that he is a master at impersonations. Becoming Bond, an over-exaggeration of a super-spy, should be simple for a man known for becoming an own caricature of himself.
4. Dom would make a good Bond because we say so! (That’s a joke.)

If you agree with us, or have just been converted to Pro-Dom-for-Bond, then please join our cause! Remember, we are in no ways affiliated with Dominic Monaghan, the estate of Ian Fleming, or MGM. You will not receive anything for joining, just the satisfaction that you are promoting a great actor for a great role.

1. Of course, Dom has that sense of humor we love. But dry and urbane? Not really. Dom's humor tends more towards impersonation and satire.
2. Sean Connery..not Drop Dead Gorgeous?? Give me a break!!!!
3. Lead character. Dom is truly a character actor's dream!!! He will never be, and should never aspire to, a lead role. His forte will always be the sidekick or supporting role. Not a bad deal. Think of famous supporting actors like Peter Lorre or Peter Ustinov, or more recently, John Rhys Davies or Gary Oldham. If Dom were to become Bond, James Bond, it would be more in the vein of David Niven in Casino Royale, a JB Spoof! Which is fine by me! I LOVE Dom, and think he would be a truly great farcical Bond!

Theodon's neighbour
April 18th,2004, 10:15 AM
I agree with you IDM. I think Dom is great but as a Bond? I just don't buy it. As Bond has always been around 40+ I have trouble seeing someone in there twenties cast as him.
All said though, I think both Dom and Billy should team up again. They work so well together ;)
