I'm sorry to all you guys who like Orli so much, I do like him and i think he's really hot, but when it comes to acting, Elijah's so much more talented!
And those eyes....mmmmmmmm, I could sit and look into them forever! and he ssoooo increadibly hot! I dont understand how some ppl cant like him! Well, i suppose everyone to their own taste.
I agree that Orli's a good actor, and i've luved everyone of his adventure movies so far, but i dont think he should have got so much attention from lotr, cuz he only had less than ten lines in each movie! Elijah was the main character and i dont think that anyone in the world could have played frodo better!

I love Orlando and Elijah, both are good actors, though Elijah's a bit more credible - but Orlando always looks incredibly fit and healthy. Elijah is lovely but I wish he would think about his health a bit more. For his nails to be as short as they are he must constantly bite them, he smokes too much and in a lot of pictures Ive seen of him recently he's the only actor with alcohol in his hand - not that I can talk!

Yeah...Elijah seems like a nice guy, but he gets really into smoking and drinking...Orlando keeps it at a minimum, and I believe he quit smoking a long time ago...good for him. ;) I want to see Orlando is some real roles! Not just the pretty-boy things...although those are immensely enjoyable. ;) But he's got some movies coming up that look really good...he might actually have a character this time, you know? "Troy" looks awesome...I really hope I can see that...I feel like they want to make it PG13 now or something, but I think it'll end up being "R"...too bad, they're losing a lot of buisness by ignoring us teenage fangirls...;) lol roflmao

I personally like Elijah and I am sad that he smoke because smoking is bad for you and he could die from cancer or have a heart attack and I would love to see him around for awhile, but I don't hate him because he smokes and drinks. I think drinking ok if its once and awhile and not getting drunk and pass out/throw up.

Mrs Frodo, I'm not saying Elijah's a bad person because he smokes and drinks. He can have as much fun as he wants but i just worry about him because I know from personal experience that smoking kills you and no doubt he knows it and has tried giving up too but I would just like to see him around for a bit longer!

I didn't even know Lijh was a smoker... it's not horrible but it isn't very good either. To me he's a great actor and I admire him a lot, but I guess he has the same problem as I do, it is imposible to quit smoking . I understand him, it's a good sensation when you do it, but we're aware about the damages. No matter what.. he's my number ONE choice everyday and twice on Sunday lol

I can't wait for "Troy" either. Orlando as Paris... I gotta see that :love:

yea elijah is a smoker and that makes him even more gross!!me and my friend saw him on the 3rd street promenade(in santa monica CA)smoking in a corner- we dont like him so we yelled from a couple of feet away FRODO DOESN"T SMOKE!!! it was funny-cuz he gave us a mean look--but of course im regretting it now!-hes someone from lord of therings!!!

And as far as the whole "Frodo doesn't smoke!!" thingy...I forgot to say that Elijah gave you a nasty look because if you actually read the books or watched the movie, SecondBreakfast, you would know that just about every member of the Fellowship smokes and drinks. It's only Legolas that doesn't smoke...although Orlando Bloom does every once in a while.

I would have to say I prefer Elijah Wood over Orlando Bloom. Orlando Does have classic looks and a British accent (I'm a total Anglophile), but EVERYBODY seems to be talking about him. And it gets irratating to hear all these people, especially the journalists, ranting about Orlando. And Orlando fans can be so malevolent. They will bash you if you like Lij over Orli. Fortunately, I haven't experienced nasty Orli fans on this forum.

Furthermore, Elijah is my type of guy. He's a geek like I am. His interests are similiar to mine. We both like reading, video games, and all types of music. We both think any type of foreign accent is sexy.

I like Elijah's looks, too. His enormous, azure eyes are hypnotising. His smile--even with the little gap-- is endearing. The fact that he's short (I'm only five foot three, so I can relate).

Naturally, Elijah has faults. He smokes, likes to use profanity, and is a celebrity, which means he has an ego, however small or large it is.

Anyway, I don't begrudge Orlando fans. It's just my opinion. :blush:

I just have to be irritating and say, "Legolas and Will Turner aren't shallow!!!", but then, you knew I would. And take a look at Orlando's eyes in "Troy" and in "Kingdom of Heaven" if you want depth and emotion...*swoon* :drool: Golly, I love that man's eyes...and voice...and hair...and body :blush: :naughty:. lol Yeah, Orli's eyes are really cool, too. They're really sorrowful and romantic, in a way. BUT, they seem to reflect shallow personalities in all his movies. Hmm...I see where you're coming from. I don't really think Orli has a shallow personality...I just think he does when he's put next to Lij in comparison! Of course, I don't know either of them personally, but for some reason when I imagine hanging out with them, with Elijah I'd feel less like I was "with a celebrity" than I would with Orlando. And that's without imagining all the fans gawking at us 24/7.

So to say that personality wise he seems shallow is actually a very shallow comment. I think he acts the way he does, so that he can survive. Having read a few interviews of his, I believe he's actually a very sweet natured person.;)

Ummm, okay, sorry, I must be doing a really bad job at explaining myself, or something. :( I didn't say that I thought Orlando was shallow. (Or maybe I did, but that's certainly not at all what I meant.) I would never say that about someone, much less someone I don't know personally. It's really, as you said, a shallow thing to say. ;) He sounds like a great guy to me. What I said was that I thought his personalities (notice the plural, there) were shallow. His characters in movies. That's what I meant. And that's not his fault. So far, directors have casted him in the classic, handsome-prince-warrior-type role. Which is cool, and he's good at it, but, unfortunately, that sort of role often lacks a depth of personality, or character. See, I like Elijah better than Orli basically because he plays Frodo Baggins, my favorite character ever written. That's why I'm basing my judgements of Orli on the characters he played: in order to be fair all around.

Totally. I definitely understand your point...but I still don't find anything shallow in Legolas or Will Turner. Will is deeply in love with Elizabeth. So what if he isn't a complex person? He truely does love the girl...lucky her. lol :p And Legolas is often mistaken as shallow because he doesn't show emotion blatantly...it just isn't his way. And sadly Troy (Paris) isn't going to help improve this feeling. But there's so much more to those characters then just those shallow bits. I'd say most of his charaters have been very deep and intense characters. Misunderstood is definately a way to describe them.;)

lol I guess that's true (though I definitely could say the same for Frodo). I personally think that Orli has the capability to play a really complex character. It's just that he's sort of got stuck in a rut with this swashbuckling hero personality. Now that's all people think of when they think of him. And that sort of character never had quite the appeal that, say, a Frodo Baggins-like character hs always had for me. :grin:

I would still like Orlando even if he was in Elijah's body. It's not just the looks that have me captivated. It's also the personality that makes him so attractive. His gentle behavior, and his quirky personality. He's overall an amazing person. Loks have something to do with the attraction, but they're not the only thing.;)

If Elijah's eyes were breen I'd still like them. LoL (For those of you who don't know what "breen" is for some reason, it's a horrendous shade of brownish-green.). I have no preference for eye color. And I have brown eyes by the way, and I think brown eyes are the most beautiful of all!! (Plus, brown-eyed people usually have clearer eyesight.)
