well technically there are a million favorite character polls with both Legolas and Frodo in them, and in every single one, Legolas has won... there's also been elves v hobbits, which surprise surprise, elves won... in other words this is a bit pointless... but as for my opinion, neither are in the top of my list, but I prefer Elijah over Orlando, he's cute, but I don't like the beard at all lol

Elijah has a lot more experience than Orlando and Olando is older...that's kinda sad actually. He is not that cute and his eyes were fake in LotR...Elijah is natural. It's really just opinion. I of course think that Orlando is better looking than Elijah, and really, Orli doesn't sound like a bad guy either. And we don't like Orlando just because of Leggy, I like him because he's got good taste in what movies to do, and he's a good actor. And of course I do appreciate his hotness, but just because looks are the easiest thing to rant and rave about doesn't mean that's the only thing we like about him!

Well, I could explain the many reasons why I adore and look up to Elijah Wood, but that would take the better part of an age! Besides, I've posted a little too much on this thread. lol
The one sole thing that really bothers me about Orli Bloom fandom is that the majority (NOT all, fortunately) of the girls (and guys!) wouldn't give a second thought about him if he were a little less than hott. (Don't get me wrong, though, that guy is an awesome actor and seems like he'd be loads of fun to hang out with!) But it's true. Lij, on the other hand, (and I may be wrong) most of his fans seem to be after him because of who he really is and what he does with his life, although he's equally beautiful as Orlando. I dunno...I guess when I think "fan of Orli" I imagine lots more screaming and drooling than when I think "fan of Lij". *shrug*

You know, it used to really bug me how it seemed that every other female in this world loves Orlando as Legolas, it then hit me that isn't it awesome that PJ gave him that character? Look at it this way.
In the books, Legolas was described as being like, fairer than mortal men, or something like that.
That just makes me think that he did a good job picking Orlando for the part because while he isn't really a Elf, at least he's cute enough to have ten million girls drooling at thumbnail pics of him.

Good point...I really want to see "Troy" and "Ned Kelly" and "Haven" because I think he's actually going to get some real parts. Legolas and Will Turner were great, and he did really well with them, but they are less complex and all that. From what I have seen of him he seems really good...but he can do more.

Most child actors lose their "spark" (you know...like the Olsen twins and Maculay Culkin?), but Elijah did not!! All he did was transition from a child to an adult, and I'm proud of him.
