WotR Gathering Announcements and Instructions

Hello fellow Ringers! You may have seen my thread in the Events Forum asking for your locations in this world so we can better plan some much-debated WotR regional gatherings.
Illu has created this forum upon my request (and inspired by a suggestion from our dear Fatty) so I can better collect info on locations from you our dear members. (phew! That was winded!)

Anyway, I'm sure many of you have already heard about these gatherings, but if not then I will do my best to try and explain our crazy but wonderful idea.

Many of us here at WotR got an idea to hold regional gatherings for WotR members so we can all meet eachother (or at least some of us can meet eachother). These gatherings would be held anywhere in the world where we can get enough people together (hence the reason for this roll call). How we are actually going to accomplish this, or when these gatherings will be held is still in the works. We were hoping for a RotK celebration some time before or after the movie's release, probably not the week of the release however (just to appease all you geeks who are going to be flying half way around the world to Toronto ;) )

We know little else about this wild plan of ours, but we are all hoping it works out. Any further news or announcements will posted here to keep you all informed. If you have any questions or ideas please post them in the appropriet threads, thanks.

So your question now may be, "So what am I supposed to do?" Well, first off you nead to tell us where you live. To do that find a thread in this forum that corresponds to your area of the world, then follow the instructions in the first post. It may seem a bit controled, but trust me, experiance with my previous thread has tought me well ;) So that's about it. If you do not find a thread that represents your section of the world then please let me know and I will post one (I would like to post the threads so that I can have the instructions in the first post).

Hey folks!

The time to begin planing a few meetings is come. Currently there are large enough groups in the areas of London, Los Angeles and Sydney. I have posted special threads to plan the meetings in. I will be posting other locations soon (I hope).

Please spread the word about these meetings. This forum has been kind of neglected this last month. We can't plan meetings unless we know where the people are! So even if you don't plan on going to a meeting yourself, please encurage other people to post here. Thanks a lot. And thank you to all the people who have already posted and who have offered to help out with these meetings. :thumbs:

I'm currently in Japan, but I will be back in the USA next year, towards Fall. If these Gatherings are going to become regular events, and they are still going on by then, I can attend one anywhere in California, Washington state, or Texas. I've been hoping something like this would come along! Now....If only I can get there......

Any chance of having a gathering somewhere in england or the north of england?? or have i just been missing them??:( and heck me and Eldaughter are in Newcastle!!! if you dont want to visit maybe all the bars and clubs and parties will get you hear :rolleyes: newcastle is one of the top partying towns in the world!! :grin: lol
