I've never heard of this movie. What's it about?

It's about weapons in America. About the murders in schools, about the difference between USA and teh rest of the world concerning murder (huge btw), about the NRA, about McVeigh, about Marilyn MAnson, .... Anyway about alot of things, It's really interesting and well brought although the maker is a bit to dramatic once in a while but means well. His next docu is going to make a lot of people µwake up I hope, altough I alerady know a bit about the subject. Most of the Americans know nothing about it, and it's happening in their own country.

Sounds interesting. But it includes Marilyn Manson? What was the connection to murder/violence (and it better not be that his music makes kids turn to destructive ways.... I hate that blame-game for music)? Or was it Charles Manson?

Anyway.... do you think a Block Buster sort of store would have it? And what is his next documentary about?

Well it includes MM because of what you said; the blame-game. One of the scapegoats after the mrders in Columbine was MArilyn Manson. So they interviewed MM and he was one of the most intelligent people in the entire movie. It was just scary how smart he was (he even knows about the weimarr-republic, cool). It just shows how wrong it is to make him a scapegoat while the real reasons are neglected.(Quote; 'What would you tell the kids in columbine? 'I wouldn't say anything to them. I would listen, it's about time somebody listens to them).

I think you can find it virtually everywhere (it's by Michael Moore)

The next Docu is about a businessgroup (forgot the name) that has all the important members of the American government in it (including the Bush family) that controls alot of factories and lobbies (military and stuff). It shows the relation between the government and the businessworld, a relation that shouldn't be there cuz it isn't for the people anymore but fore the money. For instance, the government has ordered a weaponsystem build by one of the groups factories that had some serious failures in it. Anyway, I'll stop rambling. check it out for yourselve.

Ohh this was such a great movie. I loved it so much it made such good points about why america is so damb screwed up. lol actually it was more of a documentry. But its kinda sad how no more then 250 people die in other countries by guns, but in america its like 10,200 per year.

I loved the movie (especially the cartoon showing America's history) Though there are a few errorsin the movie that i found out about after i saw it, like the NRA rally in Denver was really after the incident at Columbine died down and it was also a business meeting that was planned for months (dont get me wrong, i dont support the NRA). Also, the reason the deaths in other countries seem so much less is because those countries have so much less people than America. The best points in the movie were the fear that media induces and when Matt Stone talked.

Kev.. i have to agree. For one who is so castigated by the popular media... Manson was the most sensible "guest" in the film. He was intelligent and articulate. Charleton Heston on the other hand.... what an ***!!!!pfbbt verymad

DarkStormCrow... you're assuming that we haven't read all sides. Just because we don't agree with you, doesn't mean we're wrong. ... and we are entitled to our opinion.
I for one will never, ever be comfortable with the notion of a society where you can open a bank account and get a free gun.

Of course all are entitled to thier opinion, I just gave a couple of links folks could go to to get more information about the subject matter of this thread.
I personally feel the film is full of lies misrepresentation and flat out incorrect facts. Michael Moore is one of the Elites, just like Bushes and Clintons and most of the politicians out there, lies and misrepresentations are thier forte.playing both sides against the middle, I must wonder if Michael Moore still maintains his NRA membership, and his gun collection, but thats just part of the hypocracy, the Elites will always keep thier guns and security forces just as long as the average joe doesnt keep his.
I just marvel at the European atitude towards America when it comes to guns, most of the guns sold here are manufactured in Europe. Beretta, Glock, FN Herstal, Sig Sauer, Heckler and Koch, CZ, Walther, Styer AUG, just to name a few. I work in a store that sells and rents guns, European manufactured guns dominate the shelves, and when it comes to renting guns there is no lack of European tourists coming in to rent them.
I own a few guns, I carry one everyday, my guns arent going to harm anyone unless I put my finger in the trigger guard and pull the trigger, and I would have to be under extreme duress for that to happen. Guns in of themselves dont harm a thing, it is the criminal or idiot with a gun that is the problem.
I dont want to live in a country where my basic right of self defense is taken away and my family and myself are put at the mercy of the criminal element, those who dont own guns can still be killed by them. I pefer to have a fighting chance and living as a self reliant free man rather than rather than a subject or prole of the government.
