When I first saw this movie it seriously scared the **** out of me which was like 8 years ago. And now theres a directors cut coming out in theatures this halloween and its got some new footage.

Both "Alien" and "Aliens" are absolutely classic films. I saw "Aliens" at the cinema but never saw "Alien" there... cannot wait to see it on a big screen.

You think so, Morgothian. I think the first one was better than the second. imho I was way more scared the first time I saw Alien compared to the first time I watched Aliens. :elfeek: But I love them both. :grin: Aliens is a faster movie, if that makes sense. I'm sure you know what I mean. ;) :thumbs:

Ya Alien is deffinitly More scary But I like Aliens more cause theres the Colinal Marines, And more explpsions the The Queen Alien is awesome to.

Oh yeah, I'll give you that. :cool: ITA I loved the Marines, so very cool. And the Queen Alien was a scary *****. :o But in Alien what about that alien tearing out of the dude's chest and all the while everyone thinks he's just fine. :elfeek: I'm really looking forward to watching it on the big screen. :grin:

BTW, I love Predator. What a cool movie! I love the hand to hand fight between the Predator and Arnold.

Predator is a tight moive and yes its very scary. But I think Aliens is a little bit better. Oh and Predator 2 sucks dont bother seeing it.

1) Aliens
2) Alien
3) Alien Resurrection
4) Aliens 3

I saw the original Predator movie, and it was so-so. cool though. An Alien vs Predator movie should be pretty cool too. :)

Predator so-so are you crazy thats like the most Freighting movie ever. Plus Arnold says his most classic line in it. "Billy, get to the chopper" lol

Predator, so-so!!! Oooo, them are fighting words . . . :p just kidding, to each his own. But, Predator was better than, so-so, imho. I mean, come on, when they find that special-ops unit's bloody remains up in the trees. :o And they realize they are being hunted. :elfeek: I'm still kind of skeptical about an Alien vs. Predator movie, though. :mmmm:

ok ok, so Predator was not so so-so. haha. I have to admit it WAS scary, but not as scary as when I watched Aliens, when I had to cover my eyes several times with a hot dog. :D

Both the Alien and Predator movies are so cool. After i had seen them i just had to buy them and now i have them all on Dvd. Well predator 2 is not as good as the first but it fits in the collection. (Also have a pred figure at the computer desk:grin:)

i hear they're coming to the theatres again, at least that's what my history teacher tells me. that's going to be wicked cool! i'm excited.

Aliens is my all time fav movie, no doubt.

I love the whole movie it totally rules. It has fear and suspense but also gung ho action...classic. The whole interplay between Ripley and Newt shows that the film really explores serious issues like motherhood as well as the way soldiers react under strain, cooly like Hicks or break down like Hudson.
Alien is the original masterpeice of sci-fi horror film. Ridley Scott did an amazing job on it, like Dallas turning in the pitch black jeffries tube to see the Alien beside him...I mean....jeez that still scares me even though you know its going to happen.

Alien 3 is fair...but I dont like how they killed off Newt and Hicks, I mean after all they went through. :( Also it was just a cash in and failed to capture the spirit of Alien or Aliens.

Alien 4 is a cash in too. A worthless film with little excitement.

Well Alien is simply a masterpice since its scary atmosphere.....you don´t know what`s gonna happen in the next scene and so on. The other alien movies seems to be more filled with action and fast stunts. Predator 1 is a bit similar to Alien since its scary. Pred 2 was more like Alien 3 and Alien Ressurection (4).....only action and some bad actors.

Am waiting for Alien vs Predator though. should be interesting. heck, they should throw in the aliens from Signs, ID4 and even Mars Attacks for good measure. haha

Hey, I think I need a predator figure and alien queen figure for my desk. My kids wouldn't be able to keep their hands off them, though. ;) And, I agree with you all, Alien & Aliens was so much better than the last ones. Only 16 days until Alien is out! (right??)

Alien - An amazing film, top of its genre for both sci fi and horror. Perfect mix. Truly iconic as well.

Aliens - An unbelievable triumph over the first and my personal fav. As said, combines great horror with top notch action and suspense.

Alien 3 - I really like this one. Sure its just a copy of the first but i feel it hasn't lost any impact with the 'one alien' scenario. Also has some cool action but was less than impressed with Newt and Hick's death.

Alien Ressurection - Hardly worth mentioning. *edits* on everything the first three has done and completely wrecks the story.

Heres hoping Alien vs Predator will be great and, perhaps, Alien 5!

"Aliens" is my favorite movie. I saw it in an Army theater and the Joe's went crazy (there's nothing like going to the movies on post, they cheer and boo in all the right places!)

To see "Ripley" over come her fear and kick butt...I had never seen a woman on screen do that...I was amazed! (up till then Princess Leia was the only strong female on screen.)

I love the LoTRs trilogy with all my heart and I want to say that they are my all time favorite movies....but "Aliens" is still sitting on top. In fact, my child's middle name is "Ripley" that's how much I love this movie.

I love all four alien movies, but the second one is the best... I first saw it when I was 9 years old (accidently, don't blame my mother :) ). I really didn't understand why Bishop is still alive after beeing ... erm... parted...roflmao
