Just read that Christian Bale is to be the new Bruce Wayne. Personally, i think this is a great choice... Bale is a wonderful actor ... so hopefully he can bring a new facet to the character.:thumbs:

Never saw his movies...but he is cute :grin: Don't like Batman that much anyway...

He's got the presence to pull off playing the character... in a way Val Kilmer and George Clooney didn't.

Maybe it's because Val Kilmer and George Clooney aren't really actors....Aspecially the latter...

but hes not Batman
the best batman thus far has been Micheal Keaton, who played him as a borderline psychotic..........which is what he was
i think Bale could outdo his rendition.........but well have to see if the script can live up to expectations first

I agree- George Cloony and Val Kilmer didn't really fit well as Batman. My favorite Batman was Michael Keaton- he played the dark side of Batman well.

I don't know who Christian Bale is, so I can't really say if he'll be a better Batman. But isn't he relatively young- like in his 20s?

Does anyone know which villians will be in the new Batman? I think I remember reading something about Catwoman (Halle Berry instead of Michelle Phiffer though), but I'm not too sure.

Bale was born in 1974, so he's not exactly "young"....
Halle Berry doing Catwoman? I hope not.... She's a terrible actress, IMHO...

When I said 'young' I meant that he was younger than the other actors when they played Batman (who were in their late 30s, I think).

I liked Michelle Phiffer as Catwoman.... I can't see anyone else playing her. Let's just hope I read the article wrong or that was just a rumor. ;)

Is Christian Bale the guy who was in Star Wars?

No, Christian Bale was in American Psycho. The guy from Star wars was someone else.

I hate Christian Bale for doing this! He's one of my favourite actors, and now I'll have to go see Batman... pfbbt

Don't get me wrong, I like the first Batman film, and Michael Keaton did a great job. But what came after that... I don't know, there's just something about a silver Arnold Schwarzenegger and a guy dressed as a penguin that doesn't appeal to me... verymad

Awww... I kinda liked the Penguin. Very disgusting and creppy, but cool.
