FOTR DVD Partaay!

I'm mad. For many reasons. I am now the proud owner of the Fellowship on DVD but I cant watch it until this evening! Grrr! I'm also mad because me and my friends (PrinceImrahil and Gil-Galad on the Forums) were gonna have a DVD party and watch it. Where are you guys? PrinceImrahil, you had better not still be in Bayfield . . .

So anyway, has anyone watched the dvd yet? What are the special features like?

I watched it from 1:00am to 4:00 am and then watched an hour and a half of extras... but couldnt watch it all because i was so dang tired! I get my free poster soon from buying it early at walmart! They called EEEEK!

I regret to say that I didnt think it was going to be as good as i thought. From the reviews i heard before, i thought it would be some crummy behind the scenes... tho, i was dissapointed that the interviews were only 2 minutes long.... i wanted to hear more commentary from the actors, and more about what they did in New Zealand when they werent shooting, but i guess since it didnt have to do with the movie it wasnt necessary... oh well. But otherwise i loved it. Watched it twice heh

It was fabulous! I put the volume up almost all the way, sending a huge vibrations throughout the entire house! I LOVED IT... i bet the neighbors were curious what it was heh heh:naughty: ;)

gotta agree......:grin: :cool: its just soooo dang cool to have it on tap....so i can watch whenever i want!!!! and translates well to the small screen too.....

does anyone have the widescreen version? thats the one i bought but i havent seen it yet. i'm not sure how it will be on the t.v.

widescreen is better...... fullscreen cuts off alot of the the picture. Like when they are all lined up in rivendell and Elrond says," You shall be the fellowship of the ring." Aragorn, Gimli and Boromir are cut off the screen. So I think those of you who dont have it yet should take the widescreen. It may be smaller, but you see more.

Oh darn!!! I didn't know it cut off so much. I got the Fullscreen version. Oh well. I still like the movie the same. I especially love Pippin. Oh my GOSH!!! I have the funniest thing on my DVD remote. I can change the pitches of the peoples voice. When Merry and Pippin scream after Boromir gets shot like a thousand times, I changed their voices to a girlish pitch. It's the funniest thing you could ever hear!!! I laughed for a few minutes, though. Good Times.

i got the full-screen version and you know on the second disc...the writing at th ebottom of th emenu is half cut off...has anyone got subtitles that won't go away coz pil does but i don't...weird...
