Hey Folks,

We've updated our art gallery this evening with two brand new artists. Adam McDaniel and Isabel Sanchez have submitted their art for your viewing pleasure.

Isabel has sent in a collection of her LotR inspired drawings and Adam has sent in an oil painting he did of the entire Fellowship.

Beautiful work both of you and thanks for the submissions!

You can check out this new art and much much more in our Art Gallery here (http://www.warofthering.net/gallery/).

If you're feeling artistic and would like to display your work in our gallery then feel free to send it to Submit@warofthering.net and I'll make sure and post it for you.

In Fellowship,

Illu

Me again....hehe

We've updated our art gallery with a brand new artist. Staffan Jönsson has created his version of Hobbiton and it's now on display for your viewing pleasure.

Due to Staffan's work and other submissions we've received that are more "photo art' than the standard paintings/drawings, we've revised the structure of the art gallery by expanding the navigation and layout. We now have Original Art, Cover Art, and Photo Art categories and we hope this will enhance the gallery and make it easier to find what you're looking for.

Feedback is appreciated as always! :p

Her work is ALWAYS good! I haven't seen the one with Gollum/Smeagol...I really like that one! I bet if Andy Serkis saw it he would want to own it!

They're all good indeed. I'm very intrigued by her depiction of Sean Connery as Thorin Oakenshield...he soooo looks the part! It's just one of those moments when you feel that the actor in question should really see this!

Her pictures of Sam are so moving, especially the one where he's holding Frodo, thinking he is dead. And I love love love the pic of Aragorn up close...it looks awesome as a desktop...I've said it many times, but have to say again...she captures the eyes so well! :)

So true...a lot of artists leave traces of their own facial features in their images...but Kim does her objects true justice! The image of Sam in despair on the steps is so moving! I ache when looking at it!

Another Update for you! two more new artists to grace the gallery

Hi ya Folks,

When we were at the Fellowship Festival, we had the privilege to chat with Sandro Kopp who played a variety of roles in the movies from an Elf to an Orc (and most things in between including a Corsair and a member of the Army of the Dead). Sandro is also an inpsired artist and he created many sketches that capture the people and the moments that were part of the making of the trilogy. He shared many of them at the Festival and we are proud to have him as the newest member of our Art Gallery! We welcome Sandro to War of the Ring and invite you to have a look at these unique sketches. More of Sandro's art can be found on his website. (The link is sandro-kopp.com.)

We've also added a new artist to our Photo Art section of the gallery as well. Please welcome Romain to our collection of outstanding artists!

Stop by the Art Gallery and check out these and all of the artists that help bring Tolkien's world to life.
