Irud the Gryphon

This one took me quite a while to do, and I hope you like it! It's my guardian gryphon, Irud. :) I was stuck for a background but I was pleased with how it turned out.

That's beautiful Yayster! The feathers are so realistic, and the pattern on the tallons is a wonderful detail!
I love those eyes...don't think I'd want to get past him in a hurry if he looked at me like that.
Lovely detail on the spear as well.

Great job! I've browsed through your past art, and I must say that you have improved immensely! Each time I look at your work, I notice that it gets nicer and more refined each time'; obviously you're getting the hang of Paintshop Pro. (That is what you use, right? I have that program also, and I think it's great. :grin: The perfect - and cheaper!!! - alternative to Photoshop.)
You did a great job on the head; although can I say that his left hand looks a tad small? I know that it's in the shadows, but it could be a bit bigger. (Just my little bit of artistic criticism... ;) Hope you don't mind.)
