I loved the whole thing and I have watched it 5 times already. I especially like the whole DVD Menu.


What do you guys think?

I am in awe. I went to a store today and it was playing and I nearly bumped into the people passing trying to watch it. It looks so much better than it did in theatres. Its awesome! Its fantastic! I love it! i've only seen it 4 times but will see it again tonight... hmmm the special features are great. i like the Interviews, as I have said before. Especially...Elijah Wood's :blush:

I was quite impressed with the menus as they weren't too fancy and stayed in perspective with the actual film, which is good ;) The features could have been better but then again there is the 4 disc set coming out soon

one question... does Legolas say: " A Balrog!!!", I watched the movie in theaters twice and the first time, a few days after it opened, he said it, the second time, much later after TTT trailer was added and he didn't say it and I think they cut some other scenses too... any news. I have bought a Collectors addition already and am desparately waiting.
Just curious if anyone else noticed it...

Ooo...that's odd...i hadn't noticed legolas' thing...but i DO think he would have said something...rather than just stand there looking like he was peeing himself! lol

All legolas seems to say in moria is "Goblins" or "Orcs"...like he HAS to confirm just WHAT is trying to kill them! It's like..."Yes...thank you Legolas...now get back to looking lush!" :naughty: lol

I never noticed Legolas saying that!!? The last time I watched the movie I noticed that he says a lot more than I remembered, but not "A Balrog". I think I must see it again tonight. :) Ah.. another good reason!! :naughty: ;)

I know that Gandalf says "A Balrog!".. but...

I hope Legolas saying "A Balrog" was not just my imagination. In the book, it was the only time he displayed any fear... I could almost swear I saw it in the movie, maybe just wishful thinking

Lately I've been watching really cool scenes like Moria in pitch black with the volume turned up and boy, does the picture and sound quality shine through. It really adds atmosphere :thumbs:

I agree Longshot, I could swear he said it as well in the theeaters. I always liked that line 'cause it points out that balrogs are really the only thing elf-lords fear. Glorfindel was not even afraid of all nine of the riders together. Maybe they will add in that one line in the extended version.

I don't think they had the line in all the times i've seen it...but legolas DOES look like he's wetting himself after gandalf says it's durin's bane...his face is so sweet... :(
