The mallorn trees in Lothlórien glinted silver in the sun. The leaves were a sea of green upon the branches. Several Elf guards stood together on a flet, looking out over the treetops, alert for any signs of movement.
"Today is very beautiful," said one.
"Indeed it is, Gil-celeb."
Gil-celeb turned and smiled.
"This day's beauty is not complete without you, Elvulia."
Elvulia blushed.
A third Elf, Amorith, stood next to Elvulia. She smiled as she listened to them.
"I will go and walk for some time." she said suddenly.
Gil-celeb and Elvulia nodded, watching as Amorith descended from the flet. The Elf left them, not wishing to walk, but to give them some time alone. She made her way to Nimrodel.
Amorith cupped her hands together and brought a handful of water to her lips. She drank deeply. The water was sweet, cool, and very refreshing. When she had her fill, she leanded against a tree and rested awhile. Suddenly, a voice came into her mind.
"Muinthel nín (my sister)! Amorith!" the voice called.
Amorith smiled. It was her twin sister, Forfirith. The sisters had not seen each other for some time.
"Amorith!" Forfirith's voice continued. "I must tell you something!"
Amorith listened to her sister speak very urgently. Her fair face grew troubled. She stood, then said to Forfirith:
"I will let mellon nín (my friend), Galadriel, know of this." Amorith said.
Then she made her way towards Caras Galadhon.

Calendaur was walking outside of Caras Galadhon when he looked a girl elf coming towards him. He waited until she was close and talked to her.
"Lady Armorith, you look troubled. Is something wrong?"

Amorith was awoken out of her thoughts. She glanced and saw a male Elf standing in front of her. She smiled.
"Calendaur! Mae govannen! Troubled I am. My sister has just told me some disturbing news. Isenguard is going to send a large army to destroy Rohan. She fears that if Rohan falls, then so will all of Middle-Earth. For Rohan is weak. She asked me to see if the Lord and Lady will send a force to aid them." Amorith said slowly.

"That's terrible news. You should hurry and ask the Lord and Lady for help. I'm sure they will help Rohan." Calendaur said.

~ somewhere in the wild, somewhat near Edoras ~
Enafyn, skipped gaily thru the plains, not far from her village. Her mother had asked her to gather herbs for dinner, but to not wander to far for strange rumors were abroad, of raiding orcs and wildmen. Enafyn was not worried though. She had down this many times. And if she WAS rather further than she should well, the herbs were more plentiful over here.
She looked towards the west. The sun was setting. Night would set in very soon. 'Time to go home, she tought to herself. She wanderd down the well trodden path when she stopped suddenly, her ears straining. She thought she had heard a cry. Nothing. She walked more quickly, her heart beating. She was feeling unerved, as a 12 yearold will when she's alone. There, the cry came again, coarse and shrill. And close. Very close. Enafyn broke into a run, clutching the bundle of herbs.
She heard many footsteps behind her. She screamed and flung the herbs away, lifted the skirts to her knees, and ran as she had never ran. Tears lept from her eyes and her breath caught in her throat. Something grabbed her long blond hair and threw her to the ground. She sobbed, screaming and wailing for her dear brother Eoner, who was 15, pretty much a man.
A orc swept it's scimitar thru her helpless body, and Enafyn knew and saw no more.

"I will go, Calendur. Yet, I fear they will not send aid, and therefore I will go alone. Do you wish to come with me? For in numbers there is some strength, my friend." Amorith said.
She looked at Calendur and thanked the Valar that she had him as a friend. He was very wise, and the many times he had comforted her!

Forfirith was walking swiftly over the plains, near Edoras. It had been a few days since she had spoken with her sister Amorith telepathically, before she had left Fangorn Forest. The dark-haired (Fory) Noldo Princess' gray eyes scanned the plains around her. She felt something terrible was happening. At that moment, she heard a scream.
An Orc had attacked a helpless young girl. Forfirith's eyes blazed, and she threw her spear at the Orc. It fell to the ground with a horrid thump. Forfirith then noticed many other Orcs. She knew it was pointless to try to attack them alone, so she took out her staff, which she used only in dire need. Forfirith raised it above her head, then muttered a spell in Quenyan. A flash of light emitted from the staff, then hit the Orcs. They all crumpled to the ground instantly.
Forfirith sighed, he spell had taken much of her energy. She smiled, at least the Orcs were gone. Then she ran to the girl.
"Oh, my poor dear!" she exclaimed.
The scimitar had injured her badly, and she was bleeding. Yet, if Forfirith was quick enough, she would be able to save her.
*several hours later*
Forfirith wiped her forehead.
"There, you are going to live, my girl!" she said.
She picked her up gently, then made her way to the village, intent on finding the girl's family.

(ooc- that's fine with me. By the way the name is Calendaur :p)
Calendaur saw Armorith as she speaked about going alone. He thought she was really brave. He smiled when she asked him to go with her.
"You can always count on me, lady Armorith" he said.

Enafyn started when she woke up to the Elf's voice. She cried with pain and gasped, feeling the wound that was still grievious to bear. The scimitar had plunged into her stomach, and worse still, had been jagged edged so it had ripped her on the inside.
((Gross huh?)) "Mother?" She wimperd. Her eyes came into focus and settled onto the Elf. She stared at her. "W-who are you?" She asked fearfully.
The Elven maid smiled, and told her that she had nothing to fear, the Orc was dead and that she was to be taken back to her family. Enafyn's eyes brightend with joy. "You're going to take me back to Mother and Eoner? Thank you! My mother's name is Nytana and my brother is Eoner. He's a guard you know," She said proudly.

(oops-sorry alcarohtar!)
Amorith smiled at Calendaur as he agreed to go with her.
"Let us go then, shall we?" she said.
She led the way to Caras Galadhon, thinking of a good argument to persuade the Lord and Lady to send an army. The only thing she came up with was:
'If Rohan falls, it will only be a matter of time before we fall as well. There was an alliance between us long ago, can we not reform it? We are weak in the Enemy's face because we are divided. We must help them!'

Calendaur followed Armorith to Caras Galadhon. He noticed that she looked thoughtful. After a few minutes, he asked:
"Do you really think that Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel won't help Rohan?"
He waited for her answer as he was thinking: "They have fought alongside humans before. I'm sure they will help."

Amorith turned to Calendaur.
"I am not sure. We have become estranged for the most part, we Elves and Men. I think after the Last Alliance and Isildur's betrayal we trusted them no longer as much as we did before."
Amorith paused. Memories of the Last Alliance flooded her. Her sire's death, Gil-galad, was flashing before her eyes. She shook her head.
"I thought of this argument only:
'If Rohan falls, it will only be a matter of time before we fall as well. There was an alliance between us long ago, can we not reform it? We are weak in the Enemy's face because we are divided. We must help them!'
What do you think of it, my dear friend?"

Gil-celeb and Elvulia looked out from the flet as Amorith passed with Calendaur.
"Do you sense something?" Gil-celeb asked Elvulia.
"I do, meleth nín." she replied.
"Let us go and see what is the matter, then."
Elvulia nodded, and the two Elves climbed down and went after the Noldor.

Forfirith looked down at the little girl as she stirred.
"I am Forfirith, and come from Fangorn Forest. Do not fear me. I have killed the Orc, and the ones with him, that hurt you. I have tended to your wound, and now I wish to return you to your family." Forfirith said softly, picking up Enafyn.
As the girl talked, and gave her her mother and brother's name, Forfirith said gently:
"You should be careful giving your name, and your family's names as well. These days are dangerous. You can trust me, though. Tell me, where does your home lie?"

Calendaur listened to Armorith's argument and thought about it for a while. "I'm not so sure if Lady Galadriel will agree that we can't stand alone against rhe darkness. After all there's a great power that protects Lothlórien" he thought.
"I think that's a good argument" he said. "All beings in Middle Earth will be affected by war. We must be united or the enemy will defeat us one by one."

Amorith smiled.
"I know you think that the Lady might not agree, but this is my only argument."
She was about to say something else when Elvulia and Gil-celeb ran up to them, panting a little.
"Suilaid, Amorith, Calendaur. What is wrong?" Gil-celeb asked.
"We saw you, and we know something is on your mind. What is it?" Elvulia said.
Amorith grew quiet. Gil-celeb turned to Calendaur.
"What is wrong, mellon?"

Calendaur was surprised because Armorith read his mind. He was thinking what to say when Elvulia and Gil-celeb appeared in front of them. They asked Armorith "what's wrong?", but for some reason Armorith didn't answer. Then Gil-celeb asked him the same question. He thought carefully before answer them.
"Suilad, mellyn" he said. "Armorith and I are going to see the Lord and the Lady to comunicate them some information that Armorith just received. I can't tell you more unless Armorith says so."

Gil-celeb nodded, and Elvulia looked crestfallen. Amorith smiled at Calendaur.
"Calendaur, do you think they will listen to what I have to say?" she asked him.

While Forforith spoke to Enafyn, they crested a tall hill, looking down nestled at the bottom was a small village. "There! I live down there!" Enafyn cried happily. "Oh, thank you so much, my Lady! Will you come and meet my family?"
