Picture?

I have a question: how do I get a little picture to be put under my name in the left-hand name bar?

There are green buttons at the top of the page. Go to 'options', and from there you will see orange buttons. One says 'edit options.' At the end of the page there is information on getting those pictures.

Nessa is right....

They are called Avatars and you can select on for you profile from you options panel.

Thanks! I found it and got one, as you can see. Yet how can I get a diff one than those six?

You are able to choose from a growing variety of avatars as you get more posts.... other avatars become available after you past certain numbers in post count. :)

And how much do I need to post to be able to have a broader choice of avatars?
And is there anyway I can change my user staus?

Okay.....take a look in the FAQ's and you'll see not only what avatars there are at each level, but also how many posts it takes to get there. :p

And RW, what do you mean by user status?

I call user status that phrase that's under our usernames. My user status it "The Shadow of the Past". Will I ever be able to change it?

PS: sorry for not reading the FAQ, this isn't the first forum I join so I assumed it would be like the others I post at.

Ahh..Not a prob RW....

The (userstatus) titles we call them here, also change with the post counts. We have coded in ALL the chapters of ALL three books, and as your post counts increase your title will change and allow you more choices for avatars that reflect the particular chapter that your in. phew...

We envisioned the avatar/title thing to be a journey of sorts and we hope that you enjoy the trip! :p

Yeah, I already decided which avatar I like the most, but it's so far away... :( I really hope the RP gets on going, unless I'll never be able to reach the number of posts I need.

Don't get me wrong or misunderstood or anything, I like the art-painting avatars, however, I like the movie ones as well. Any chance we can put a link in a little box for our own little avatar in our profile...perhaps one that we made or had made for us?

that would be sooooo cool........it would mean less chance of someone having the same avatar....gets very confusing sometimes!!!

Well duly noted. The reason we went for these is aesthetic. We will add more. It ties in with the user titles and it does not ruin the way the forum looks. If we allow movie ones or just any peopel fancy then poeple always put up ones of muppets and manga characters. Which are fine but not really what we want the forums to look like.

No doubt this will cause some debate among the staff and we will see what happens.

I have my own movie avatar...well, it's of Orlando Bloom...but I know where to get some one of my good friends made and uploaded...they're pretty spiffy, they're animated!
