After the ROTK world premiere in Wellington, there will be lots of spoilers to be read. Are you going to be among those who are going to read the spoilers or are you going to avoid them altogether?
As for me, I am going to read the spoilers as I always like to know what is in a movie before going to watch it.

I'm gonna try to avoid spoilers too. Even though I've read the book, I still don't wanna know how they will portray it on screen. I wanna feel the excitment and suspense of not knowing what they they will do with the film. Oooh! I'd love to be at the premier too! :whoohoo: :hyper:

You have to follow your gut on this sort of thing.
For me, spoilers are not a problem. I like knowing what happens before I see a movie (and yes, I read the ends of books in advance). I think spoilers are particularly welcome in this instance because I can get all of my "but that's not how it happened in the book" reactions out of the way before I ever get into the theatre.
But what can ruin a movie for me is too much talk about behind-the-scenes stuff. I will NEVER listen to the DVD cast commentaries.

I like being suprised when I'm watching the movie, and for me, the spoilers would ruin the suspense. I know I've already read the book, but the movie isn't going to be exactly the same, so I want to save my excitement for the movie. I like taking things all at one time, and not spreading out little bits and pieces. That way I don't get confused, or mislead by a part of something that may be different when it fits in with the whole.

actually...its safe to read that article, harlow. I read it and the only things it gives away are scenes that aren't going to be included in rotk. Otherwise it just talks about the making of the film, and PJ's reactions to what some fans say. It's a great article, and certainly not a spoiler of any kind.

For some reason I have no problem what so ever with staying away from spoilers.....must be something seriously wrong with me!lol Saving it all for the big day!!

The only thing I try to avoid is criticism or praise of the films before they've been seen. I cannot avoid spoilers, but I will resist the temptation (that's all too common) to cry for PJ's head because of something changed or left out, or to say the film has to be bad because of a rumor, or call for an immediate Oscar for a film that I haven't even seen! (and Harlow, I don't know HOW you could resist that Newsweek . But LoL's right- there are really no spoilers to speak of)

I probably will end up looking at them... against my will of course.

PJ's head on a platter is definitly not my desire...the man has provided far too much joy for that!:)
Tho I'll prob fall from my pedistal once I see the Empire RotK issue and leap to the news- stand!lol
