Hello:grin: I am a new poster who is trying to get into the swing of things. At my house it's Rings 24/7. I saw LOTR 28 times in the theater and countless times at home. I have read LOTR many times and each time I find something new and beautiful to discover.

Despite my obvious obssession - I really do have a full life, career, kids and everything! I hate to say anything more only because people tend to assume things about a person based on thier age, no matter what that age is. I can't wait to exchange ideas with any and all who want to. I've already had wonderful experiences. Just one other note: I suck at spelling.;)

Your spelling looks pretty good to me. I think your spelling is above average here.
Welcome to WOTR.
I love your name and am presuming you are female because of it. (Me too.) Sometimes it's hard to tell. At least it's easy to remember.
:whoohoo: :dragon:

P.S. How could you possibly have seen it countless times at home?
Are your kids way into LOTRs also?

hi there Dernhelm  and welcome...hehehe have to agree with Miruvor about the spelling....and i should know, being one of the worst offenders.....
as to age we have a real mix here, and i dont think anyone is hung up on it.....people keep thinking im a teenager:elfeek: ...not sure whether thats a compliment or not lol lol
have fun here, thats the main thing:thumbs:

Welcome Dernhelm!

28 times!! :elfeek: That's not bad! I only saw it 4 times in the Cinema (and everybody around me think I'm mad because of it.. that is.. they think it's mad to see any film more than once, or at least more than twice).

I'm sure you'll love this site! As Catz said, we don't care much about ages. It's really mixed. And don't worry about your spelling (I didn't find any mistakes in your text), there are lots of people like you on this site.

Well.. welcome, again. Enjoy. :)

Aiya, mae govannen Dernhelm,

Wonderful to have you here at WaroftheRing. Age? What's in an age? It is merely a number. We are all Tolkien-centric, and that is enough. I hope your days here are filled with mirth and I look forward to posting with you.

Oro

(Only 28 times...)

Miruvor: I'll fess up - I recieved a copy for Valentine's Day and I have watched it almost everyday since then. Not to worry - I have already purchased THREE legit copies: 1 Vhs for my daughter, one VHS and one DVD for me. If you are a betting person - here's one sure bet to make: I will own every version there is as they come out. My friends all tease me and say that I need an intervention!

Welcome to ya Dernhelm. As has already been said.. we're not ageist here at all... the only thing that matters is we love Tolkien, his works and PJ's adaptation of LOTR.

Also, welcome to Bramley.... another Scot.. yeeha!!!!

Look closely at the scenes where Frodo and Sam are departing the Shire. If you look off in the background you will see a white car pulling out in the distance!

You'll only be able to see it if you catch it in theater again... its edited out of the DVD. :)
