Billy Boyd was fantastic as Pippin.....just the right amount of mischief!! As for the accent.... well, i'm biased of course...being a fellow Scot.... but it was lovely.:grin:

in the book i thought he was great, in the film he just came across as amazingly clumsy and stupid. :)

i think he has been dumbed down alot, maybe its because they want to show how much he and merry grow up in The Two Towers. thats really when the hobbits show their worth. :)

Me too. I think it's important to give that contrast...which is something i think that some of the actors are going to find hard to express because of the way that their characters have been protrayed right from the beginning...gandalf and frodo for instance. I think with pippin and merry there is DEFINITELY room for a lot of growth (both mentally and physically...think :entdraught: lol)

I think that Pippin will sober up in the next two movies. They just had to add some comedy to make the movie appealing to everyone. Even the most serious movies have to have humour, even if it's macabre, unlike LOTR's. But if they wanted more humour, they could have added Tom Bombadil. Still, it was interesting the way they moulded Pippin!

That is pretty sick. I don't know, that reminds me of something a little off subject. Uh, on one of those late night shows they showed "gameshows from other countries", and they had a sort of, "Guess What's Under My Kilt" show for Scotland. The point of the show is that the lady points to one of three guys (one of them has, like, a million dollars under his kilt), and the guy will flip up his kilt. If she gets it right, she gets the money. So, you can imagine she didn't get it right. . . :blush: This took too long to explainlol Anyway, even though it's not a real gameshow, I guess you could convince Billy that it was. . . .:blush: Okay. . . mind in gutter. . . :(
