I get in these strange moods sometimes where I'm translating everything in sight... I've translated "Be Thou My Vision", two Ginny Owens songs, Aragorn's voiceover quote from the RotK trailer, and Plus One's "Here In My Heart" (kind of a long story, and now I can't even hear the title of that song without laughing...). And other random stuff, mostly LotR related, except for "What Does the Deep Sea Say?"...lovely Celtic ballad. Nothing really odd yet, though... (Hmm..."The Hairbrush Song" in Sindarin? Oh wait, dang. There's no Sindarin word for "hairbrush"... *sob*)

lol Any Veggie Tales song would be awsome to translate into Elvish (can you imagine "I love my lips" in Quenya? lol).
Um, I don't know if I've translated anything "weird". You know, just a few songs, poems, random phrases, names, etc..
Actually, there was one time, my friend (Ohtarien) and I were up really late, and we had fun making really crazy Quenya sentences. It was great!

Plus One? haha, I'd like to hear that story lol.

I've translated some interesting things over the years. I did "When I think Anout Angels" by ??? now I can't remember who sings it (Country song). I also have done "Morning Has Broken", "Holy God We Praise Thy Name", "Silent Night" (which I am still working at the moment) "Away in a Manger" (Though that kind of flopped since I can't find any word that I can use for "manger" Lol). That would be great to hear a Veggie Tales song in Elvish! lol "I love My Lips", that's my favorite one! I've also translated Legolas's Song of the Sea, and other random LotR phrases. Of course, I was also aksed to translate "where is the bathroom?" in Sindarin. I had to invent a word for "bathroom"! lol

Hey Banui, I'd love to see your version of "Be Thou My Vision". Would you want to share it with us?

"I Love My Lips" in Elvish would be so cute!

Archibald: Manen?

Larry: Melin peunya!

*giggle*

Plus One and LotR...do you really want to know?? *deep breath* Okay. One of my friends is a huge, huge fan of Plus One, and we were goofing around one night...it was late and we were being really, um, odd. We were discussing "The Promise" which I had just gotten from the library, and for some strange reason, I said something like "Ack! Aragorn stole the CD and he won't give it back! He's been playing "Here In My Heart" for three hours straight!!" It's slowly developed that Aragorn is a big fan of Plus One (they even sing at his coronation), especially of the song "Here In My Heart" (it eerily does sound like Aragorn and Arwen...). So one day I went and translated it into Sindarin...

I sometimes make up conversations in Sindarin (usually between Aragorn and Arwen because they're practically the only people I can think of who speak fluent Sindarin and I know well enough to do decent convs. with) out loud to practice my pronunciation, but I have to do it in my room lest people think I've gone schitzo, lol.

I'm posting No Le Cened Nîn now...

Curious...what IS bathroom in Elvish? :naughty: (ack, stupid computer...I nearly wrote "Elvis")
