:o I have to say in Return of the King Sean was the best at Sam.. He showed every emotion and you could tell the emotion real.. mecry . He is sam. Without a doubt. He is awsome and I give him two thumbs up:thumbs: :thumbs:

My favorite was in of herbs and stewed rabbit... when gollum called him Stupid fat hobbit that look of hadred was so good.verymad

Is the best acting for Sean Astin, indeed.
Also in ROTK Faramir was improved a lot , as Sam (Without kicking Gollum, that´s not that way in books)

:thumbs: Sean did a beautiful job in RoTK! I would love to see him get recognition for his role - not only did he go through all of those emotions, but the audience is there with him. Such a true, honest performance - smashing! And David as Faramir is fantastic. I also thought Billy did a really good job with Pippin's growth from a hobbity joker to a soldier of Gondor.

I couldn't take it in the RotK when he crys to Frodo about Gollum "He poisened you against me!" Waaah! And at the Grey Havens! Ahhhh!
Needless to say, I was a total wreck when I left the theater.

Yes, I think a lot of people were it was good and Sam was strong.. I love it how you grow to love these characters so that when something bad happens you cry or shout out etc.

I'm happy now that there's more people who love Sam as much as me! woohoo!!! Yeah, I was crying when Gollum turned Frodo against Sam. I just thought it was so sad, because Sam is such a good person and he'd do anything for Frodo.

I agree with you all. Sean did an incredible job as Sam and deserves recognition for sure. I cried so much watching ROTK, but I have to say that I cried the most when it involved the hobbits. Especially the end when Sam realizes that Frodo is leaving and they are all crying. mecry mecry Man, that really got to me. You could see it in Sean's performance. He was totally Sam, in character, and crying because he really loves Frodo, his best friend. Awesome performance. :thumbs:

Yes the Grey Havens seen was sad, I was crying too and I was still crying when it ended, I cried when Frodo did the commentary and told Sam not to be torn in two.

Sam/Sean was great...the whole being turned away by Frodo was awful...one of the few moments I really felt sad...*sniff*

The 2nd time I saw ROTK When frodo sent sam away(and with the scenes with Denethor) I had to cover my mouth from yelling at Frodo(and Denethor) along with the people that kept getting up to go pee. HOLD IT PEOPLE! I had to pee since Bag End when I saw FOTR but I held it, so you can!roflmao

Sean was a great Sam...he's adorable. Like in FotR at the end...
Frodo-"Go back, Sam! I'm going to Mordor alone!"
Sam- "Of course you are! And I'm going with you!"

That was always hilarious...a perfect Sam moment. ;) :thumbs:

Ah, Sean A was awesome as Sam. He really should have gotten at least a nomination for best actor at the Oscars! Every time Sam cried, I wanted to myself. And I think Sean really did improve in the last movie (not to say he wasn't good in the first two, but he just got better in rotk)
