Well Ireland went out on penalties )-: But England are still in there. If Brasil beat Belgium then its the big match on Friday.

What about Senegal, look out here comes Africa!!!!!

I think England might beat Brasil if they play them.

What do you think?

OK, so i'm welsh and generally don't try to support the english when it comes to sport. So i'm not gonna show a lot of sympathy to the english guys... my friend hannah and i are just happy that the whole world cup thing can end! NOW! Wots up with the flag flying and shops taking advantage to sell their clothes?! Annoying or what?! The welsh don't need a world cup to fly their flags...we r great 27/4!

Couldn't watch the match today verymad And we actually did nothing but stay at the classroom verymad

Ireland needed to push a bit harder, penalties are luck to relay on them

Well Enlgland went out. I was rooting for them, despite being a Scot :-). But really the second half they seemed to lose all spirit, I mean playing againsdt ten men can actualy be harder than 11 but they did not fight at all. Brasil deserved to go through. I think both teams played poorly though, it was a dull game.

The USA vs Germany was a cracker. The US played great open football, very refreshing to see and great fitness. Germnay were staltwarth as usual and scored clinically from a free kick. Looks like a Germany Brasil final.

THough I hope south Korea do well. Senegal might upset everything though they are on fire at the moment!

i mean i know its really unlikely...tho they did take out France....but i just dont want to see Brazil win....always did root for the underdog.....:grin:

BWAHAHA!

I won $20 off my dad in the World Cup. We filled out brackets and I crushed him. He had England vs. Spain in the finals with Spain winning. I have Germany vs. Brazil. I called nearly everthing corect.

Okay, the World Cup is a VERY touchy subject for me atm......considering my team was denied 5 goals!!! The standard of refereeing and linesmaning should be looked at. There have been some incredibly dodgy decisions made.

But......Brazil 2 - England 1.....well, that went some way to lifting my spirits again.....but only in the football sense....Hey, my best girl friend is English!!

The USA did really well......and Spain were shafted:angry:

Ah well Spain were unlucky wih decisions, but they played too defencely, they never perform on big occasions. :-)

Saying that they were lucky against Ireland!

England losing seems to have allowed for a national mourning down my way! :boohoo: We have a sports themed non-uniform day today - the england shirts are distinctly lacking in number. They seem to have been replaced by shirts with 'FCUK Football' on them. I completely agree...! :jester:

It was a landslide victory, Brazil didn't even have to win. I was the only one to pick Brazil and Germany in the finals! I already ordewred the collectors FOTR DVD with it off of Amazon.com. I also bought Warcraft III which comes out in 2 DAYS!!! YAY!!!
