Thanks, Bramely! I'm not sure what a '12' translates to in American though........ most likely pg-13. :)

Yes I think it is just precautionary, the films have not been rated yet by the film board. Amazon will be doing this as they know would never have higher rating than this.
I would think it will be pg again with warning not suitable for undr 8's as before. Htough it could be a twelve, but that would lose them a lot of money, so I doubt it.
WE will soon see :-)

yeah Fattys right....if a film hasnt been rated they'll usually go for the highest it could get, so they dont get caught out....i think PG is what it will be tho, after the first one it would be foolish to make the others a higher rating...

I agree....once you've done one in PG....u can't go excluding some of the original viewers from seeing TTT. I suppose it wouldn't affect any of us either way...but i know my brother and his mates would be annoyed! verymad
I think their just playing it safe!

LOTR was rated [U]-Umum (Suitable for all ages) before, although they have pretty violent Uruk-Hai chopping scenes, so I believe they're okay. There's not much blood spilling around either, and besides, who'd care when we're chopping like mad some really ugly, snarling creatures who never even existed in the first place? Heck, it'll pass, at least in my country. We've had worse monsters in the back of our minds...
(No offence, Tolkien has always been, and will forever be close to reality to me as it can get, but alas, I can't help sighing and thinking that it is after all a fantasy. *sighs* A very wonderful dream...)

It might come out as the new 12a rating, which is really what fellowship should have been as it was a bit violent for a PG, even with warning that came with it

yeh...thats a thought....i forgot about that......it probably will be coz thats kinda like pg but shows that it is a bit more adult...hmmm.....if they hadn't brought in the 12a then it woulda been pg with the warning but i think it'll be 12a
