Thranduil, I did hear about it, but haven't heard it. How is it? I would like to get it though, since Elijah, Dom and Billy are on it.
Here's the link for Viggo's publish company where you can get the CD and other wonderful stuff.

No, the CD isn't sold in places you'd normally find CD's, but you can order it online from Perceval Press for $10.
It's mostly Viggo & CO. reading poetry and singing a few little songs. Let me warn you, though, it is a very ACQUIRED TASTE! I love it, however. It's pretty interesting and worth the buy! One of the most interesting I'd say is "Half Fling" written and sung by Dom and Elijah...it's mostly them speaking gibberish in tune with the music, in hi-pitched voices. The CD is so awesome, though. Go out and order it.

I don't own it, but I want to. :( My friend has it and we listen to the Half Fling song during ceramics class. lol I love how it says "words" by Dom and Elijah, when really its just a bunch of gibberish, but very cool gibberish none the less...;)

Listening to it now....I'm really a fan of off-beat music, and this certainly fits that description ;) I sort of like Red River Valley, but They Ate Your Family I'm not so sure of.

OK- just spent the am listening to it.....I definitely think it's going to grow on me- it has that "something" that makes me want to keep listening. (Or maybe its just I love the idea of hearing Viggo talk in my office :naughty: ) Anyway- I really like the poetry, and the creativity shown in the music (a wheelchair as an instrument? odd, but it works) I will say, however, that it is a rather self-confident attitude that lists performers by their first names only, and takes it for granted that we will know who Viggo, Elijah, Dom and Billy are. But then again, this is their time to really get things like this out there, so of course they should take advantage.

You're right....it's an aquired taste!!! I got it in the mail today, and I just finished listening to it for the first time. And I just had to start it over again when I had finished it once!!! I really like this, though it's different from anything else I've ever heard before. I especially like Half Fling, but the real treat is hearing Viggo recite poetry (which I wasn't expecting). Thanks again for recommending it! This is definately something that I would have hated to miss out on!!!

For those who have the cd- listen (closely) to the lyrics on "They Ate Your Family"....they sound, well, familiar!!!! I can't figure out why they are used for a song titled this way, but hey- there must be some reason.

I noticed that too, IDM! ( And I highly doubt that the lyrics have anything to do with the title of the song.)

It takes a few times listening to the whole thing to really get into it, but now that I have, I really like it! Back to Babylon is one of my faves, and for music, I love the Fall of Troy.

Can't wait for Viggo to come out with another one. What do you think of their singing voices and musical talent?

For those that have seen Hidalgo, did anyone else recognize the song that Viggo was playing on the harmonica? It was very reminiscent of "Red River Valley"....

It was "Sweet Betsy From Pike", an old cowboy tune (i know this becuase my father loves the old cowboy group "Sons of the Pioneers" and we used to listen to their tapes nonstop whenever we went camping....;) ) You have NO idea how excited I was when he started playing that, I think I started hyperventillating even more....lol ;)
