Summer has been really fun for me, but, alas, I must leave this dream and return to high school. No more fun Tolkien discussions, not even in my AP Lit. and Comp. class, though much English literature is in our curriculum. They do not even acknowledge Tolkien!!!:angry: pfbbt verymad :boohoo: :trout: mecry :(

Ah yes, school resumes.

I've been in since the 15, and I don't hate it so much. As for 'leaving the world of fantasy,' I take it with me everywhere I go. :) I have oppurtunities in school to drift off there..... meditation excercises in psychology for instance. You're right about English class.... American literature. :rolleyes:

Anyway it is cutting in on my Tolkien time, once a night on the internet, usually late, virtually no Tolkein books as I have a list to read for English, and I watch the movie for about twelve minutes a day: in the morning while I run my mile. :rolleyes: lol

yep, i'm 21 and i am saying exactly what Elendur posted, school was great, work is ok but as i do 14-16 hours many days i get bored of it quick.

school days are the best of your life. :)

I have almost a month more of the last summer holiday in school.... Never thought about it before today. Now I really have to enjoy every second of it... :brave: (freedom never comes but it doesn't mean we should cease fighting for it)

*sighs* 16 days until I am imprisoned 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 9 months straight. Oh the horror! Sure, school and prison have their differences, of course, but they definetly have their similarities also! pfbbt

The sad thing is, American Literature person, that we actually have English/British/whatever's the right term Literature and Composition ,and Tolkien is not mentioned at all!! But, as for being upset/missing school later on, I'm only thinking about the present (the future scares me) and it really isn't that bad, it's just that it's a challange, with Advanced Placement classes. Anyway, for you other school-going children, enjoy your free time while you can. . . even public school is expensive!

well....im in both camps here....im at school tho im a little older than most students,heheheh....and i have to say, i dont know how you youngsters cope with the pressures to succeed thses days.....it was never this intense when i was in high school....all i can say is enjoy your free time....its really important to take time out sometimes.....

Monday (day after tomorrow) is my first day of college...EEK! :elfeek:

I only have 4 classes. 2 classes Monday, 2 classes Tuesday, 1 class Monday, 2 classes Thursday, and 1 class Friday. I am taking Medical Terminology, Health, French 1, and Computer Concepts :) I was accepted into a Health-Science division of the same college, but the teacher resigned, so I have to take these few classes until January. :) I am going to be studying Polysomnography :grin:
I want to go back to high school! mecry
