Ian McKellen

Hey folks!
Browsing through this messageboard I found out that there is no thread for Ian McKellen so far, so it´s time to change that I think! Okay, let´s discuss about him.. I think he´s a great actor! Not only in LotR but in his other movies as well. What do you think?

You should watch his other movies... Never seen X Men? *lol* Another very impressive movie is "Apt pupil"

He was really good in X-Men 1 and 2 and really good in LOTR;) but I haven't seen any other of his movies

IM is the coolest...he IS Gandalf, you know what I mean? I would enjoy getting to meet him, sounds like a fascinating guy. ;)

yeah, I agree. I nearly would have gone to Berlin last december. You know, having a look at all the guys at the Red Carpet. But well... *Sigh* didn´t work.

He was really wonderful in "And the Band Played On" about the early days of the AIDS epidemic. His death scene was sooooo sad!! mecry

I'd also very much like to catch him on stage... he's supposed to be a great Shakespearean stage actor :) Haven't seen him in other movies besides LotR and X-men

'tis a shame Sir McKellen doesn't go for the "fairer" sex... he is a great actor! I'd love to see some of his shakesperean performances.

IM is a great actor. I have of course seen him in LotR and X-men, but I have also seen him in Richard the third. More than that I have not seen, but I enjoy his performances greatly.

Personally, Ian is *one* of my favourite actors. He has a thoroughly amazing talent and I couldn't imagine ANYONE better to play the part of Gandalf. I've seen X-men and a wierd version of Macbeth (which even then he was great in :grin: ) and I can say he really stands out!
