Ohtarien

This is a picture that I finally finished for Mánalinya, a great friend of mine. It's Maenas, her shire horse, who she got from Yayster's Pet Shop. I did a really rough pencil sketch to start, took a digital photo and put that into PSP7. Then, I painstakingly went over the outline with the pen tool, creating a nice, smooth outline. Then I just colored it in with a bunch of layers.
The writing is Tengwar, and it reads "Maenas, To Mánalinya". The little bit at the bottom is "Ohtarien".
Um, I'm not too happy with the plain white BG, but I'm simply too lazy to add one in right now.... maybe sometime in the distant future I will become inspired to add more.... lol
Other than that, if you ignore the horrible anatomy and the plain shading, it's not too bad. Actually, I'm very happy with this picture as it's my first all-computer picture.

Also, is anyone interested in having a coloring tutorial of this image? I'd be happy to post the lineart and let others color it, as well as doing a "step-by-step" approach showing how I colored it. Let me know what you all think.
Other than that.... all comments and constructive criticism are welcome!!!
