I am very upset that Bill the Pony did not get a bigger role in the movie!!!!! His relationship with Sam was very important!!! I love Bill the Pony, but not in the same way that Madame Pippin loves Pippin! You must love Bill the Pony!!!\ :thumbs: :dragon: veryhappy entdraught

I like the part in Bree with the apple and all and wished that they had shown it. I also liked Bill the pony and wished they had shwn where he had come from becasue he does come back later on in the books.

Anyways, I adore Bill! He was such a brave and spirited animal, even after having an owner like Bill Ferny. Although realisticly I don't think much more could have been done with him in the film, I am looking forward to a happy reunion between Bill and Sam. veryhappy I hope thats in..... for PJ's sake.... evilcool

But poor movie Bill. Got reduced and they even tell his name until they got to Moria! I made a web page for Bill...tho the other horses demanded equal treatment, so I had to put them on the page too...

Ya I love horses too. They are my favorite animals. Nice site Lady Ashley Thalionwen. :thumbs: I think Bill does need more recognition in the movies. A lot of the other horses do too. Like Arod, Hasulfel, and Asfaloth. Asfaloth is never mentioned and unless you were really paying attention you wouldn't hear Arod and Hasulfel's names.

You know, Bill the Pony is so undervalued. He is often not considered part of the Fellowship. He isn't officially, but is in fact the 10th member.

After all, does he not brave wolves and snow and marshes? The only thing he seems to fear is the Watcher, and who wouldn't?

Does anyone else just love Bill the Pony? He's brave and strong and loyal, and fears almost nothing. In fact, he's so dear to LOTR that he was one of the lucky characters that did not get cut, though he very nearly did verymad , and then would have gotten eaten :o by the Watcher had not kindly New Line prevented it. :thumbs: (Cruel PJ...pfbbt)
