Hey, i really would love to have, or go to a LOTR gathering, but they are always too far away for me! So, if we could have one in PA, any other PA fans wish to do something?

Dear Arwen,

I have just spotted your message, as I haven't been here in some time. I have often wished the very same thing! I am in PA too! Very near to the NJ border; what part of PA do you hail from?

It would be wonderful to have a PA gathering! We could watch the films, and I have LotR Monopoly, Backgammon and chess, lol. I'm sure we could think of other Middle Earth related things to do as well.

I hope you get this message, and are still interested in getting together in PA. Spring is here, and the weather would be grand! Let me know what you think!

Best Regards,
Elentári Greenwood

Mara anar, Arwen Evenstar!

I hope you are well today? We may have another War-ringer interested in a PA Gathering! Her name is Periantari Andruil, and she will be back in PA after summer break. I have asked her to post to this thread if she is interested in planning this with us; I hope we'll see Periantari joining us soon!

BTW, what did you think about trying for September 21st, or thereabouts?

Take care, and talk to you soon!

Arwen, it looks like your college would be about 4 hours from my town, so that's pretty far. Your hometown is only about an hour and a half, and Periantari's hometown from my town is about 2 hours. Sounds as if it would be better if we could agree on somewhere closer to where you gals live, as you both live fairly close to each other, and not too far for me to travel.

Arwen, two questions: where is that Renaissance Fair to be held in August? And would you be coming home from school at all in the fall? It would depend on where the faire was held, and whether Periantari could get home by then. Or, if you would be coming home at all during the fall, we could try for then.

It just happens that most things happen in NY or CA. Most places that people can't get to. So, yes one in PA would be nice. Sice alot of us happen to live near each other.

Good to have you on board as well! What part of PA do you hail from? And would you be available perhaps sometime in September?

If you care to keep your location off line, you can reach me at:

Hey, sorry it took so long to reply to your message, i haven't checked this thread in a while . I live in Chester Co., so not too far from Lancaster, depending on where you live. Send me an e-mail and we can talk about getting together:)

The Renaissance Faire is held at the Mount Hope Estate and Winery, in Cornwall. The Faire starts August 15 and goes until the end of October. I will be there the first two weekends. It would be a fun place to meet, because you can get dressed up and stuff. They have a sword shop and they have replicas of LOTR swords and stuff. I'm going to wear my replica of my Arwen coronation gown there.

Hey Arwen!

Actually, I think the Faire sounds like a wonderful place to meet! It's within reasonable distance for all of us PA people, it's a public venue, so we wouldn't have to figure out where else to meet, and it would be great fun to attend, being able to dress Middle-Earth style and all!

I checked a map, and it would be about an hour and a half for me, which is perfectly fine. Those of you who don't drive, could you perhaps arrange transportation with friends or family?

Arwen, do you just drive to the faire every day, or do you stay somewhere? If you have any more info about the faire, please let us know. I may try looking it up, to see what the admission is, and so forth. Thanks for getting back to us on this Arwen! I suggest we all check this board each week, so we can keep in touch, and make our gathering happen!

I'll be seeing you all!

The fair is very cool. Every weekend there is a new theme of different events that has taken place during that time. They also have actors that are dressed up and act like they would have been. It starts in August, so maybe we could find each other there or something. :)

I think that's a fine idea, Frodo!
We can plan to meet there, and do the faire together, or even plan some Middle Earth type things; give it some thought, everyone.

I haven't researched the faire yet, but I'll get back to you again when I do. If anyone has ideas of what they'd like to do on this Gathering, just let me know!

See you later!

There is an address to the faire. Its, www.parenfaire.com All the info is on there. I'd only be able to go the first two weekends because of when college starts at the end of August.

Hi Arwen,

The first two weeks seem to be the popular choice. Could we think about meeting there, perhaps the second weekend? I think my gang would be able to go then, and it sounds like most of you would be available that weekend!

Thanks for the link, Arwen!
