Hello everybody, :),

A few days ago I submitted some Lord of the Rings sketches that I've done to the Art Gallery here. And I'd just like to here a little feedback, :p.

Oh, and I'd just like to say that there is some really good Lord of the Rings artwork out there. And all of you who have such inspiration should be very proud of yourselves, :)...

In the ones I just submitted, I drew myself (Ivy) with our dearest four hobbits... just some things that I imagine from time to time, :)...

Awwwww those are sooo nice! I esp like the one with you and Merry and the one with you, Merry and Pippin....the looks on the faces are priceless!:) You really do have a secret dream of having a hobbit guy don't you lol well not so secret anymore eh? heheheh!

There is something about grey and white shading when it's done well that leaves no need for any other colours at all. And the detail in there, the fold of Pippin's shirt and trousers, and the garland in Ivy's hair. Very nicley done!!!

Thet're really great, I'm always full of admiration for people who can draw, its a gift I don't have. They're all good, but being a Frodo fan, I like that one best! ;)

And thank you Nessa for the compliment on my detail... it's hard to get those things just perfect... I still have trouble sometimes, :p.
And Mithril, I have many more ideas with Frodo... I'll start drawing them here pretty soon, :)...
Oh Cuiel, who doesn't have a secret dream of being with a hobbit?? lol. I certainly dream of being a hobbit... and if I were one, Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin would all be my bestest friends.... but like Mithril loves Frodo, I love Pippin, :blush:.

Those are great!!! i was in awe when i looked at them!!! great detailing and everything. could you teach me how to draw?? lol, they are all really lovely and i lvoe how you captured the facial expressions that the characters have a lot throughout the movies. great job!

And welcome to War of the Ring, Tbirdclarinet88! Thank you so much! lol Teach you how to draw?? Well, that would take some time!!! But I can say that drawing in it's simplest terms is just shades of lights and darks..... which, if placed in certain areas on paper, will make a form. It's basically dark lines and lighter lines put together..... and then you make up where they will go on paper, :).... And if you really want to learn, and you have the patience, then just about anybody could learn to draw... and develop their own style...

But anyways, lol... (sorry, I get excited when I can talk about drawing, :p) thanks again everyone... I'm really glad you enjoy my drawings, :).

Oh my...those are truly wonderful! How you captured the look in Elija's eyes when leaving the grey havens...exceptionally good! I do think Lij himself would enjoy this a lot...it's a pity he can't see it!
