I might be wrong but is there no real mention of the beloved Bernard Hill here?

I think the man's great. Did Theodon proud.
What are your thoughts?

He's one of the many I thought was so perfectly cast....he almost fits my 30+ year image of Theoden. His death scene- incredible! I'm torn as to whether that or Boromir's death was better done.

He was a perfect Theoden...the proud king nearly defeated by Saruman that was able to recover in time to save his kingdom...devastated by the death of his son...mecry (that part was so sad...the holding of the flower, looking down at Theodred's grave..."No parent should have to bury their child")

I thought Bernard Hill was wonderful in LotR. Hes a great actor. I also liked him in Gothika and Titanic. Haha everytime I think about BH I think of Theoden and I think of my mom because shes in love with Theoden. lol

I just downloaded a ROTK theme onto my computer- the cursor is Anduril, the "wait" is the eye, and as I turn on the computer, I get ARagorn's speech before the black gates, and when I turn it off, I get Theoden saying "The end has come". How cool- Viggo when I turn it on, BH as I turn it off. Makes me want to shut down more frequently!!!

this really cool site called topthemes.com. It's got tons of different themes- from Snoopy to Lord of the Rings.

I love BH's/Theoden's reciting of that poem thingy...

"Where is the horse and the rider..." ? - that was one of the things that I kept in mind after seeing the TTT preview in theatre... I love his voice, I could listen to it endlessly... Bernard Hill is a gorgeous actor and one of those I didn't forget after watching Titanic...

That may be the only reason I would actually watch Titanic...I've never seen it, but just to get another BH performance may actually inspire me to see it. (although I still don't want to see Gothika) lol And, with a dvd, I can turn it off after the boat sinks, and we don't get anymore BH.
I too love the Horse and the Rider poem. I really like how they had the background echo, like he was recalling great history (which the poem does). Wonderful scene, great actor!

well, I was forced to watch Titanic... normally I refuse to watch such movies... "Jack!" "Rose!" "JACK!" "ROSE!" - oh, ready? can't he just die now? ...

And "A Night to Remember" is such a better retelling of the Titanic story. A little melodramatic, but much better actors imho than Leonardo and Kate.....Barbara Stanwyck, Clifton Webb, classic actors!

yep, that's right, although I think that Kate isn't that bad... I was pleased to see that they didn't choose a walking Lollipop for the leading female role... but I can't stand leonardo dicaprio - what isn't so much his fault but more the media hype... anyway, to stay on topic... you must admit that Cameron's Titanic had the better captain... :p lol

Bernard Hill is a brilliant actor, i thought it was highly amusing to look at the box office listings for highest grossing films ever. Bernard Hill is in both of the top two (Titanic and RotK) and he dies in both.... and they both made me cry when he died lol see he's brilliant and perfectly cast

You gotta love Bernard. He's a true professional. One of the few in life that does what he loves
