Well the site is goign from strength to strength. As you may or may not know we only opened 2 months ago.
Since then the number of visitors has soared, you can see our statistics below.

The first column is unique visitors and the second is hits. You can see that in August so far we are already way over the whole of July!
As a result we had to get another server to handle the demand. WeE are in talks just now to move again to another company with a better deal and more headroom.
Currently the site is funded by three of us, Elendur, Illuvatar and I. WE have set up a few affliate links, whereby we get some cash for anything bought, currently not too much! About $10 hehe.
Anyway a shop will open soon. This will really just have links to plcaes you can buy products. But we will list them all in categories and include staff and visitor reviews of items. Furthermore we will price watch key items and let you kow where to get it for the least. We hope that if you like the idea and want to support the site you will use it to buy anythign you are after.
We are also setting up a small link for those who want to donate anythign towards the running of the site.
To give you an idea the site has so far cost us about $2000 and run at about $300 or so a month with more for excess bandwidth usage.
Anyhow, no pressure or hard sell, we will continue to pay for the site ourselves. But given we are the only Tolkein site to offer large downloads which people want, then we hope that some people will help out.
remember too that you are helping just by taking part and making the site a lively and dynamic place. If you want to help more or get involved in a section let su know.
In the meantime the new things mentioned above will appear of the next few weeks.
