just wanted to introduce myself - im Jo-Anne and im totally obsessed with LOTR, that gift came from my dad who started off showing me the crappy '78 film when i was 8, brought me the BBC Radio 4 version and I used to listen to an episode b4 i went to bed then when i was 10/11 i read the book - took me a year!!! Well i was younger and did like playing wiv my dolls 'n' stuff! lol So now im nr 22 and this has been a massive part of my life. My dad and I used to walk along the beach when we used to visit my nan and quiz each other on LOTR and to this day I'm still trying to beat his record of reading LOTR in a week, my best so far is 2 weeks!

Walking with your dad on the beach and talking Tolkien! How kewl is that! :cool:
Most of my family is fastly becoming Tolkien freaks themselves(at least the ones old enough to read lol).

I look forward to someday being able to take my daughter strolling on the beach and doing the same. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wish my family were Tolkien freaks... my mom liked the book, but she's not into them enough.

I read the book very young too (I don't even remember the exact age, but I can't remember the time before Tolkien so it doesn't matter). So my life is under the star of Tolkien too :)
