potential RPG: War After the Ring

Afte some serious issues, I am back to haunt everyone here. :naughty: Nah, just kidding! :p I have been plagued by this idea for weeks, to make an RPG where the Mouth of Sauron has escaped from the destruction of Mordor and flees to Isengaurd, whereby he plans to avenge his defeated Lord and retake Middle-earth. I just want to see if anyone is interested in joining, then I will post further details. Thanx!

yes, sure! perhaps I should say this right now since you brought up original characters. In order for the thread to start, there are some needed characters:

Mouth of Sauron
Aragorn

Legolas is preferrable as well.

I do not know how many of you read the appendices of RotK, but after the War Legolas led some of his people to Ithilien. And so did Gimli. So maybe someone could play Gimli as well? As long as those characters are taken, then we can have as many original characters as we want.

Ok then; I'm officially Legolas. One question; is this written in the first person? Also I need some idea on how it's gonna begin with him- Does he lead some elves to Ithilien in your RP?

no....like a story. I mean when the chars have dialogue then they speak in first person. something like this:

Legolas dismounted from his horse and looked around Imladris.

'Finally, I am here,' he thought.


oh, and another thing. please, no one-liners, people! I beg you!

oh, and we can pretend that the elves have been there for some time, so no need for legolas to bring elves because they're already there.

ok, well why do not I just post my little plot/script, then? ;)

I wish for it to start in three places, hehe. One, in Lórien, so my chars from there can get moving to Gondor. They'll be going there on a visit. The other is in Fangorn, so my char there, Forfirith, can detect mysterious happenings and decide to tell Aragorn (Forfirith lives in Fangorn. She senses things happening in Isengaurd and decides to tell Aragorn. From there, all hell breaks loose, in a sense). The third is in Gondor, with Legolas coming to visit Aragorn. From three locations it will hopefully dwindle into one: Gondor. Once our chars are together and not scattered it will be easy.

I would like to be a part of this, although I don't do well with villains or Kings, I am afraid, so I won't take either of those places. I would like my character to be a mischievous she-elf who sneaks along with the party going form Lorien to Gondor. She will like making mischief (lol) and I will post her profile if you'd like me to join.

Good! All right, here's the promised profile.

Name: Melathwen
Age: 7025 (Born in the First Age)
Appearance: The long golden hair of the House of Finarfin, startling blue eyes that are deeper than the night sky, and sun-kissed skin. Her hair is a deep gold, shimmers when she moves and highlights her clear red lips. Her eyes usually hold a mischeivous glint. Quite tall and very slender, she is strong but never looks it, which is quite an advantage.
Weapons: Long, Galadhrim bow of golden wood, two long knives in her quiver. Can fight very well with both, though is not often called to do so.
Horse: Tall, proud creature with black coat and a white star. I will havbe to ask Wil for a name, but I will post it as soon as I've got one.
History: She is the daughter of Finrod Felagund, although she has no idea how her mother got prenant by him. She was not told this until she was one thousand, by which time Finrod was dead (I think). She trained hard to be a warrior because she hates being helpless, and for the same reason trained as a healer. Galadriel, as her second-cousin, welcomed her to Lorien, as did Elrond in Imladris, who she learned healing from. She never heard from her mother after the elf left to look for Finrod when she had told Melathwen of her father's identity.
Other: She is now one of Galadriel's maidens, one of the elite twelve, although many wonder how she ever managed that with her nature, her ancestry is not widely known.

ooooh, nice! I can't remember if Finarfin is related to Gil-galad or not, but if he is, than your char is related to Amorith and Forfirith (twin sisters). wow, the RPG hasn't started and yet we're on the second page of the OOC. lol anyway, my char profiles are hot-linked in the list.

He most certainly is! Gil-Galad is Finarfin's nephew, since Gil-Galad is the son of Fingolfin, Finarfin's brother, although which of them, between Finarfin and Gil-Galad, was the elder I don't know. I think either is possible.

OOCs always grow faster than RPGs, even if that RPG is not existent yet!

Could you post profiles for your characters? I'm not sure what connections they have at the moment, and it would be nice to :) Thanks

Ooooh, Melathwen is Legolas in my one! That char of hers sounds really cool!I think a female touch would be brilliant in this RPG, if I may say! lol

Ok...

Legolas is now around 3000 years of age.
He's son of Thranduil, has resided in Mirkwood most of his life, is phenomenal at archery ;) is pretty tough and good in sticky situations, very fast and quick-witted. He's already led his elves to Ithilien and is now travelling to Minas Tirith to visit Aragorn and his wife.
