Haldirs bow from Helms Deep

I saw this item from Arms of Valour on the newspage yesterday, and I am TOTALLY in awe!!!! :o The bow is so incredibly beautiful just looking at the image made me yearn for it! :blush: It's the most perfectly shaped bow I have ever seen! *sighs* Anyone have 700 bucks to donate? lol

What do you guys think? I'm aching....oh the pain of poverty!

AoV has been working very hard to create bows that match the beauty of those seen in the movie. Since the bows in the movie were made of rubber their designs are not easy to make into functional bows. As stated, this one took a year to design and test. AoV actually gave up on it for a while, but could not give up on the challenge of making this bow "real". After the successful design of the Limited Edition Lothlorien Bow, it only seemed natural to continue efforts in the creation of the Helms Deep Bow. The only major drawback is the cost. Each bend has to be clamped into place and left for a few days gradually teaching the wood to stay in the desired bend.

It will be interesting to hear the feedback once archers start to get them in their hands

Yes, but dear you pull an 80 lbs compound bow with a certain break over. Holding true 80 lbs is a whole different story. It is a gorgeous bow isn't it? I didn't know they were making this bow too! Very awesome!! :thumbs:
