Hello everyone! I am Luna as you probably know and I felt like creating an RP based off of any MARVEL comics premise or story.

There really is no plot, except that we are all a random bunch of superheroes and outcast with extraordinary powers out to stop evil in its tracks! Sound interesting? Good!

I figured that it would be fun to recreate our own version of the MARVEL characters or just to create our own bio and powers. Anyone who feels the urge to be a villain with awesome powers: FEEL FREE! the more synamic and wacky this thread is, the more interesting the story will unfold to be! so join here and lets discuss w/e involves super heroes and super natural peeps!

Why hello again all! I decided to alter the premise of this thread a bit! So here's the plot: :cool: A bunch of superheroes from different worldes and backgrounds all magically wind up in Middle Earth due to a plot by evil throughout dimensions! Suddenly the characters are faced with the history of Middle Earth and must learn to hide and supres their super-idenitities in order to gain allies and friends in ME. They must find a way to return to their homes but not without saving ME from the depths of the darkest evil first! It will take courage, friendship, bonds with others (example warrior elves), and teamwork to achieve their goal! Let the quest begin!

If you would like to join, I figured that it would be fun to recreate our own version of the MARVEL characters or just to create our own bio and powers. You can be anyone you wish, and we're gonna need some awesomely brave elven warriors from ME to be guides and allies too! Powers: creation and manipulation of fire
Personality: "fiery" and yet reserved. She has a cynical outlook on life and believes people are complete idiots. She can also be a bit sadistic at times.
History: She was born and raised in Egypt, then moved to the city Metropolis. (Lame name for a city if you ask me...) She attended a private school, then got kicked out for fighting with other classmates.
She continued to fight crime after school, and her grades suffered because of this. She was about to give up on the hero-thing, but then she was transported to a strange new world.

OK. That is very brief, but it gives you an idea. She is, in a sense, the classic anti-hero.....

Powers: She had a tattoo of a sword on her right leg from wich she can produce a sword and a tattoo of a dagger on her left arm from wich she can produce multiple daggers. The weapons aren't "noraml", because they can't be broken. She gets around a bit faster because of the ropes she also uses as pants (yeah, weird description, I know. :rolleyes: ).
Background: She was orphaned at the age of five. her father was French and her mother was Russian. She was sent to boarding school and currently attends Oxford University. She can get pretty wild, but tends to stay serious around people she doesn't know and trust.

Background: Raised by a very rich family Vincent quickly got very bored with his parents money and set out to make his own, he failed misrebly and his parents disouned him. One day after another long night of drinking he came upon a strange shop he entered in his stupor purely out of curiosity. Inside was an old woman who new his name and what had happened to him she gave him a phial of black liquid, then he collapsed, when he awoke he was lieing on a doorstep by an empty phial........
Powers: He has the ability to change his appearence he can look like almost anyone he may also only change parts of his body into thing eg he could change his hand into some kind of wepon etc. He also has the ability to meld into the shadows or go invisable. Lastly though this is not really a power he is a very quick person and so is very good in a fight.

Costume: black lycra suit and mask with cape and belt containing various burgalars tools.

I came up with this character profile in December...But, I had computer problems until January. If it needs changed, so be it. However, since someone else has posted a 'fire' character, perhaps we could have a bit of light-spirited fighting between the two?

Eyes: Blue, wears black and silver glasses on the weekends, contacts on weekdays
Hair: Red with blonde (Natural) and black (dyed) highlights; worn in a single ponytail, falls to the middle of her back.
Height: 5 feet 10 inches
Body Build: Very athletic and lean (she was on the cross-country team in high school)
Skin color and scars: Normal skin tone with a sprinkle of freckles across her cheeks and nose. Several scars on her arms and legs from childhood encounters with the barbed-wire fence surrounding her home. A scar on the back of her neck from a fall from a tree.
Clothing and Jewelry: Fond of dressing in dark colors (makes doing laundry easier); Wears jeans and a pair of worn-out army boots. Tank-tops (usually black, or another dark color, often with some sort of fire-related picture) and a dark-red leather jackets with flames and a dragon embroidered on the back. Short History: Her parents divorced when Sam was 12. She stayed with her father, as did her brother Joshua. At age 16 Sam meet her boyfriend (Brad Clearview) at the local skating rink where she still works. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father and boyfriend know of her 'secret', although they somehow manage to keep her from knowing that they do. Although she still lives at home, her father has given her the garage apartment.

Not knowing how to deal with the flurry of emotions inside her, she continuously surpressed them; her emotions soon began to manifest themselves in the form of telekinetic energy. She has since learned how to control her telekinesis with meditation, but if she's not careful she can lose control and endanger the things and people around her. Her fear of this happening has led her to try to distance herself from others; she believes that any strong emotional connections she may have will interfere with her control of her powers. Consequently, she is sometimes bitter about not being able to freely express her feelings like a normal person. She uses her powers to fight crime because she doesn't want anyone else to experience what she did when she was younger.
Strengths: She maintains a calm, collected attitude in the midst of a crisis. It takes a LOT to break down the mental blocks she puts around her mind. She can also move virtually anything with her telekinetic powers, and her force-fields can withstand great pressure. Her empathic powers prove useful in determing whether someone is trustworthy.
Weaknesses: She can be dangerous when she loses control. Not very physically strong.

I don't really want to create a modern character... so I'm toying with the idea of starting a char native to Middle Earth (prolly a ranger with some inherent magical abilities) that will come in contact with one/some of your guys' characters as they reach ME. I think it would open the door for some interesting confrontations/friendships. What do you all think? Dawn... you've RP'ed with me before; what's your opinion?

Alright, here's a scrapped together profile (I'll admit, kind of a combo of past characters).

Name: Jord Rovalhir
Race: Human
Class: Ranger
Body Type/Appearance: 6' 1'', athletic in build, looks to be in early twenties although one never knows with the Dunedain; penetrating hazel-brown eyes (as always), dark brown hair long enough to slightly cover the ears, and a short brown beard that looks more a product of negligence than purposefull intent although not unruly; dressed head to foot in various shades of dark brown, a battle- and travel-worn leather vest with slightly cut off sleaves placed over a long sleeved tunic serves a as a rudimentary flexible armor cut at about mid-thigh accented with a wide overbelt with a simple steel square buckle, leather bracers are worn on the forearms, boots extend to just below the knee; the whole ensemble is topped by a brown cloak with a deep, wide cowl
Weapons (my favorite): long, very slightly curved, single-edged blade probably of elven design worn on the back strapped from right to left; oak quarterstaff also secured on the back but from left to right; and of course, a multitude of handy fighting/throwing knives both viewable and hidden about his person; also known to carry a crossbow and quiver of bolts upon occasion
Skills: weapons master, accomplished wielder of inherent psychokinetic abilties, skilled woodsman (duh), and well-versed in the lore and languages of Middle-Earth
Personality: dark, but not in an evil manner; serious for the most part and strategically minded but also harbors an intelligent sense of humor; rational and reliable but also fairly private and undisclosed
Familiar(s): a male golden eagle found wounded, cared for and healed, and now through which he shares an inseverable mental link; Jord's "eyes in the sky" so to speak
Background: not shared with many; simply knowing that he was one of the Dunedain during the War of the Ring and now survives in the Fourth Age is sufficient

I've got a question that's important to how this continues: were we all dropped in seperate places, or together? Or seperate but near each other (you know, like 200 feet apart or something)?

I like the separate but semi-near each other idea too. In any case, it works more consistently with my post.

Anyways, I suggested the 'apart but near' idea because of your post. Mostly because I don't want to edit it, but partly because it makes more sense in the flows of things. We weren't all together when the tunnel picked us up, so it makes sense (to me, anyways) that we wouldn't be all together when we were dropped.

For an RP this young to begin to fall prey to disinterest is a bad sign... You guys started off with a bunch of people, but since I jumped in I've only heard from Dawn and Arien. Just let me know folks, and I'll go ahead and carry on after finding out what's happening. If it's just you, Dawn, and Arien left then that'll be fine too, I'd just like to know before I make my next post.
