Heres a challenge for you guys, in scene by the Anduin River where Boromir charges in to help Merry and Pippin, Boromir throws a knife and nails a Uruk-Hai right in the neck. Iv'e tried slowing it down, but my dvd player is broken, and my computer's isn't that great. Could someone try to find a similar looking knife around? Thanks, interested to see what we get...

he throws the hunting dagger given to him by Galadriel...United cutley make a cruddy replica, not usable, www.odinblades.com has made one similar...due to copywrite he wont make one exactly the same though. odin blades makes the best of the best when it comes to fantasy and japanese blades.

Completely wrong. Boromir's knife is part of a set with the sword. In fact it is essentially the tip of the sword with a handle. Right down the fuller. Galadriel does NOT give it to him. And its in no way a hunting knife.... ;)

woops I was thinking of another scene, Peter Lyon mentioned that one to me, its actually pretty plain, similar blade to his sword and a wire wrapped handle with a smallish crossguard...(I read aragorn for some reason lol) Boromir's knife if you want pictures ernienow email or PM me...
it wasnt meant to be seen up close but Jackson requested that all the weapons look spot on just in case the camera gets a focus in on a prop...

Figured you were thinking of the Aragorn knife-throw sequence. ;) Its an interesting design, I'm not sure how well it would have worked thrown (Boromir's) but hey its the movies! If you do actually want a "knife", I agree go with a custom job, UC makes nice pieces but they basically shouldn't leave the wall. (why I don't own any ;) )

Stainless in knives can work but UC apparently had been ordered none of the LOTR weapons were to be made functional...which is why I go custom on most of my swords, ATRIM made a sword pretty close to boromirs, the ranger sword and narsil but I wont buy ATRIM cause of a personal arguement me and the owner have been engaged in. He also made the scabbard knife for the rangersword...
