The green earth was shrouded in rolling mist. Rising amidst it, a pinnacle of faded grey, was a great fortress of ancient stone. High on the lonely hilltop, it spread in defiance of the peaceful land surrounding it. Likewise, a lone figure on its highest battlements was a flame in the fog, her clothing of a brilliant scarlet. Mithril mail peeked out beneath the collar of her red tunic, blazoned in silver with a star. Her black hair, a single plait bound back tightly with red ribbon, fell past her waist. A long dagger, with wavy blade, hung from the wine colored scarf about her waist. Her sea-changing eyes are rain-washed gray as they scan the courtyard beneath her, seeking someone…
An eagle, black with beak and talons of white, wheels down from the mirky sky to settle beside her, his ice-blue eyes searching as well. The only sound is the flapping of the great white standard crowning the West tower… it bears the device of seven flames, surrounding three jewels wound in the branches of two intertwining trees. At the heart of the trees, spread the sixteen rays of a silver star. The Star of Fëanor…

*Luna floats up the granite steps, maintaining her officer composer. The overwhelming joy in her was desperately trying to fleet her body in a stream of euphonous emotion, yet she supressed it and continued along the path to the fortress, the haven she could call a second home. Her long, flowing black hair hung like silk to her waist and was tied into a silver tail at the bottom with string-like toggles hanging down to her thigh. Her dark purple, silver and black garments clashed against the beautiful white marble stones she was climbing. A long, curved sword hung at her side, sheathed. Daggers were hidden amongst her clothes. She looked up, realizing she reached her destination.*
Hello...

Cerridwen perched, alert and awake in a tree dwarfed by the ominous fortress atop the hill. Her Blonde hair hung silky in the close air, coming down to rest between her shoulder blades, a sheet of golden satin. Her clear brown eyes scanned the floor, her small pointed ear picking up the sound of footsteps. Her loose earth brown day gown kept her unseen in the trees, and helped her ease of movement as she slowly climbed down, shadowed by her four legged friend, Caranar. On reaching the floor, she quietly picker up her bow and nocked a singly, deadly arrow, just before loosening the daggers in their straps at her angles, wrists, back and between her thighs, as a last resort. She heard the footsteps grow closer, and she melted into the shadow, fair used to being unseen. An eerie wind twined through the forest, making Cerridwen shiver. This was the beginning of a strange time, she thought.
(hey!! this is great, im glad you finaly got it up Mell *hugs* oh btw, im hearing your footsteps Luna ;) )

Luna turned, suddenly, hearing the soft scratching sound of an arrow flint hitting wood - a bow, she deduced from the sound. Can it be? she thought with ernest yearning? Is it my kindred come alas? Her searching, crimson-tinted eyes scanned the crags of marble and stone, vigilant. The air stirred soflty, sending her a message etched along the patterns of wind.
Cerridwen?

No more than a whisper on the wind:
Cerridwen?
She moved forward softly, recognising the voice, not daring to believe it was true. Could it be?? Seeing the elf above her, and finally giving into her feelings of loneliness and yearning, she realised her hear had been true!
"Luna!" She flung herself up the hill towards her cousin.
(sorry its so short!)

The presumption had been accurate. Luna turned, unaware of the proximity of her cousin flinging herself eagerly into her unsuspecting body.
Majestic blue robes hugged Luna, squeezed her! "Aghhh, Ceri!" she managed to cough, gasping for short breaths in between the crushing embrace. Cerridwen let go, her eyes beaming mischeviously, her blonde hair swirling delightfully in the soft wind.
"How have you been, Luna?" she asked quickly, inquiring upon all their seperate adventures in the past year.
"Excellent," Lunazra dusted off her black and violet robes and turned to face her cousin, eyes ablaze with passion.
"Look around Cerridwen! Look what our kin has created from the shambles of cliff and rock and stone that used to belong here! Rananar Mellondil, my closest friend and kin, come down from your "throne" and greet us!"
Luna turned to the high steps, where she all but could not help to notice the aura surrounding her cousin. The ruby red garments that she wore adorned her body and made her proud step light. She began to descend the scale of marblesque glory -
'Luna, you always have been the sly, deft one...' she thought to herself happily, seeing Luna and Ceri standing there.
Luna returned the silent nod of agreement and squinted her eyes, mocking her cousin playfully, "Mellondil, if your robes clashed power with the sun any more than they do now, we'd be set ablaze and toasting!" The corners of her mouth lifted in a true smile for the first time in a year.
'We're all together again,' she thought, knowingly, 'our power is combined, our hearts united, our souls aligned in the plane of life's path...' Their eyes met hers suddenly, as if they could fully hear her thoughts... 'The forks have come together and greatness shall result again.'
They ascended the steps together and came to the statue of Feanor, accepting his stone gaze of approval...
Ithildiel Noldoran

Ithildiel swooped across the sky, on her way to the fortress; her dragon flew swift and soundless through the air, her long jet-black hair flying wildly behind her, as Lintaril increased her speed. In the distance the highest pinnacle of the fortress's tower gleamed in the sun." We're almost home", she thought with a cool smile. " I wonder who else has come".
She allowed her thought to travel ahead to the castle's grounds; the enerhy signatures she could pick up, were easily identifiable..."Cerridwen and Luna", she thought with a naughty smile. Urging her dragon forward, she was over the grounds in a few moments...and landed abruptly right in front of the others, absorbed as they were gazing upon the statue of Feanor, in the court in front of the citadel's main entrance; startled, Luna and Ceri drew their swords.
"Relax, mellyn nin...It's just me!" Ithil laughed, enjoying the surprise in the others' faces. "It's good to be back!"
