Recent news about Tolkien's home and about it being given protected status because of the "importance of Tolkien."

Highlights:
Mr McIntosh said: "Buildings are usually listed because of their fine architecture or unique design.

"But we can also give protection to buildings that have historical association with nationally important people or events.

Ooooh that's really exciting!! If I ever go to England, I will certainly want to see that house....they will let people see, it right??

Again, I'm a bit late.... :blush:

When I was reading Tolkien's biography, I often wondered how it would be if one could have a look at 20 Northmoor Road. :grin: Perhaps that will become reality soon.

Ooh, I really wish to see the place where he was working on LOTR, the Sil, and other writings.
